@3rdstone DC Showcase: Death is an unqualified 10/10 for me. It's my all-time favourite animation. It may be short but I cannot fault it. Really heart-rending.

Rebel Moon: Part One - A Child of Fire (2023)​

 

[Hunter Rider]

Excellent sequel, it was smart to approach it more from Sam Gerard's perspective than trying to shoehorn Richard Kimble in, and mixing in espionage also works well as a fresh direction. TLJ gives Sam a unique mix of earnest downhome charm and cocky swagger that makes him entertaining and easy to root for while his team are likable and Snipes and RDJ are both strong as the main antagonists, of sorts.

A lot of people gave this a hard time but I've always liked it. And I only realised today that the girl we see in chains in the flashbacks is a very young Sydney Sweeney!

Lucille Ball shines in the lead role with a strong supporting cast of veteran actors, it's a fairly atmospheric thriller that is reminiscent of 'Sea of Love'.

Batman & Bill (2017)

Finally watched this, and it was even more interesting than I expected. I wasn't fully aware of the actual impact and importance Bill Finger had with creating Batman and many wellknown characters around him. Also, the amount of work Marc Tyler Nobleman did put up over the years in his research about Finger's life is nothing less than astonishing.

This is highly recommended, and you'll definitely view Bob Kane totally differently after watching this.
