I would like a movie that feels like a Spider-Man movie, which I don't feel the previous two were. I would like some competently written villains. I would like Aunt May and Uncle Ben to feel more relevant and important in Peter's life. I would like a better supporting cast.

he's already a nerd but more to the modern half side. we don't want to make him go too far though. peter was likable in the first film but he should be more lovable in the entire franchise. peter never broods. i totally agree that peter needs to be more smart and his aunt and uncle needs to be more relevant

Joss Whedon? Not sure he's to be considered a "young and talented" director though, since he's a very established name now already and perhaps not someone you'd call "young".

He's both a writer and director, and you're even asking if this means he'll direct the next film. All his recent Projects have been Marvel related that have been very successful. It's not Matthew Vaugn or Edgar Wright. He's a pretty obvious choice when thinking about it. Would be a good fit for a Hulk sequel.

Joss Whedon would feel pretty obvious if it wasn't for that "young and talented" sentence.

Jon Favreau? He's not young either though.

Honestly, there's only so much you can do with Spider-Man in the movie universe. It really needs to be put on hold and brought back a good amount of years down the road imo.

He has written some episodes of LOST and Buffy The Vampire Slayer, so you should check those out.

He's also written the first episode of the Daredevil series on Netflix which i can't wait to see. He isn't very well known, but truth be told, this series needs new blood.

hey, since they have goddard why can't they cancel the sinister six or postpone it and have him work on the third movie and leave marc, goddard, and crew out of this because like i said if they mess around with the third movie they are ****ed and no one would see a spiderman movie from them again.

It definitely does. The only thing I've seen written by him is World War Z and that was a pretty good movie. I've heard good things about him. It can only get better from TASM 2.

Yup.And that's what we got with the original Spiderman film. it's a pity they' felt the need to re-invent the wheel.

Fine by me. I loved the **** out of his Death of Superman pitch (Not the Death of Superman short film he did, that's an entirely different thing than the Death of Superman PITCH), that was an amazing story.
