Anubis said:I don't think so. I mean, I look at what was recently done with a character like Catman. Lamest of the Lame for years. Good writer comes along, boom, instant badass. On the other hand, you got the Awesome Android. For the most part, lame super strong robot. Slott comes in, puts a little spit shine on him, boom, great comedic sub character. There is no doubt in my mind the same could be done for so called lame characters everywhere, from Hypno Hustler to Rainbow Rider, as long as you got a good creative team with a good idea to make them more appealing.

Darthphere said:You'll never make Crazy Quilt badass or cool.
Anubis said:You don't have to go badass. Just take advantage of the inherent cheesiness of the character. If he can't be a serious threat, then he would make a great comedic foil.
Art has never been a problem for me.Specter313 said:I've done that before. I dropped Uncanny X-Men after House of M because I couldn't stand Bachalo, and didn't pick it back up until the creative team switch. Thankfully, he's somewhat cleaned up his art a bit since he started on just X-Men since I have to get that title.
Anubis said:And yet, Paste Pot Pete became the Trapster, a villain that went form dude with a crappy name to quite a capable merc.
And even then, whats wrong with a character being a big joke? Does everybody have to be this uber serious threat? Lets make Crazy Quilt a serial killer who cuts people up and makes flesh blankets out of them. No, sometimes, people need a laugh, or sometimes you can show a guy whose so much of a loser that you feel sorry for him. Like how Captain Boomerang was handled in Identity Crisis.
Anubis said:I know, when I thought of that I was like, that's actually pretty good.

And I will too if I ever see those godawful stingers again.hippie_hunter said:Marvel is really screwing over Spider-Man
