The Life and Adventures of Santa Clause.

A Rankin-Bass stopmotion Christmas film from either the 70's or 80's. The plot itself was so-so. A checklist sort of thing. The creatures were really great and there was some good worldbuilding in respect to the world of the faeries, wind demons, spirits etc. etc. I looked it up on Wikipedia and its based off an old book by the guy who came up with Oz. Not surprisingly, the book sounds like it tackles some darker stuff than was in the movie.

Mirror Mirror

This seems like the complete opposite from Tarsem Singh's previous films. This feels much more like a stage play they you were forced to see in grade school for a field trip. It's very simple that does nothing unexpected kinda like the early Disney films minus a music number every other scene. Overall just boring with very few chuckles here and there. I will say that I did not expect Sean Bean to appear out of nowhere.

Trouble with the Curve

A pretty basic sports film that centers the drama aspect between Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams. It's alright but it does get pretty dry during the middle where nothing really happens until it gets resolves at the end. I did like seeing John Goodman, Robert Patrick, and oddly enough Justin Timberlake who did a pretty good job in it.

came out in 1998--IIRC? I think its aged better than its early-2000s Marvel brethren (X-Men, Spider-Man). The opening rave is still one of my favorite scenes (Traci Lords!).
