I watched Peter Jackson's King Kong today, forgot how great that movie is, it had been a while since I last saw it.

Changing Lanes.

It tried so hard to be good.

Outland (1981)

Peter Hyams is generally a jack of all trades kind of director, but the dude is one of the most underrated sci-fi directors. This had a grimy real world feeling on par with Ridley Scott's films. Sean Connery is a boss as usual. The great Clarke Peters has a small role as one Connery's deputies who character get more important towards the end of the film.

The Man with the Iron Fists (2012)

The most ridiculous movie ever made (It'd have to be when you have Russell Crowe playing British Steven Seagal). The fights might've been shot a little tightly, but otherwise so much fun. I'd totally watch the 4 hour cut.

8.5/10I think the film itself is amazing and am actually ok with the slow pacing for the most part,My main negative is with the CGI,A LOT of it was amazingly..bad and the ending scene([BLACKOUT]Smaug[/BLACKOUT])literally made me cringe!

I like that Smaug is essentially just a scalely Scrooge McDuck. :o

A Thousand Words
Was expecting the worst but overall it wasn't absolutely terrible, just bad. It felt like something you'd see in a direct to video in the late 90's. The comedy was dated and was mostly misses. To me Eddie Murphy felt like he was stuck in the 90's and never wanted to re-invent himself or do something out his comfort zone.

5/10

From the glorious opening shot and space battle/rescue mission to the epic final duels to the bittersweet tragic ending, I love it. 8.5/10

A solid little drama that wants to be a Cameron Crowe movie. Chris Pine and Elizabeth Banks lift it above average with excellent performances in the lead roles, Michelle Pfieffer is also good in a supporting role. 7.5/10

Excision..

It's the strangest film I've seen in a long time.

I've never read the books but I enjoyed this, the action is not that good but the acting is strong and the film creates an immersive future world with a real undercurrent of menace and a grotesque finger prod at modern voyeurism. 8/10

Cabin in The Woods.

God I forgot how much I actually love this movie

The Descendants (7/10)
