Rocky ...... A+ (a top 20 favorite movie of mine)
Rocky II ... B+

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle - 8.5/10

Lots of fun.

Last weekend watched

Ex Machina - 5/5 - in my all time top 20 for sure. Probably my favourite movie of the last 10 years.
Happy Death Day - 1/5 - complete waste of time
Belko Experiment - 2/5 - solid, but falls apart in the middle
About Time - 3/5 - Gleeson is great in this. Movie is so-so.

The Babadook - on Film 4.

Have it on blu ray and not watched in a while. Still an effective film, I find it emotionally contextual and creepy, it's more of a say on the social discourse & hardship of parenting with a special educational needs child than of a horror film.

Mother & son acting both exceptional and as I say I find the closeness & that relationship being ripped apart something I can relate too.

Its a 9/10 for me.

Rocky IV ....... A-

The hyper 80's cheese goes a long way for me here, lol. Totally bias for it.

The Strangers: Prey at Night

So, I loved the first one. The original had a methodical pace that kept you on your toes and had some unsettling moments where it lingers forever. 10 years later, this sequel managed to be the complete opposite. Once they poorly set up the film, they take no time redoing scenes from the original. Everything after that is essentially one bad 80's slasher film. This is like someone smashed Jason Goes to Hell and Texas Chainsaw Massacre: TNG together. And also, some parts made me laugh out loud, it's probably the funniest sh** I've seen a horror movie pull off. Overall, If you are a fan of the first one, don't see it (unless you're very curious and want a good laugh).
3/10
