Y'know, sometimes the adage 'never judge a book by it's cover' is not applicable, and i think this is the case here, look, just take a good long look at that video cover, now, did you really think you were gonna be wathcing anything other than a mediocre movie? c'mon, look at it, haha, that movie looks absolutely boggin'

Match Point - 9/10

What??!! I remember seeing the trailer for this years ago and thought it just looked like some dumb romantic comedy about tennis. God, is it anythinig but. I mean there's romance, but this film takes such a 180 turn in the last third that I really couldn't believe it. It felt like a different film, yet it felt right to what came before. This is my second Woody Allen film, and I perhaps have seen the two that normally aren't for Woody Allen kind of people. Though now it's making me question if I'm a Woody Allen type of person... Now, the first half is a very absorbing abnd intriguing premise, with very intriguing people and intriguing and beautiful locations in and around London. Rhys-Meyers plays a great part here. At first an introverted man with a thing for Scarlett Johanson, but then gradually develops into something much, much more intense. Meyers is very subtle in the best ways in these situations he's involved in. The screenplay is ingeniously interlaced with the themes of luck and fate and love that all wrap into a nice bow by the end. To the point of shock. While about 15 minutes too long, everything still keeps your attention and manages to make you keep guessing what's gonna happen next. Especially by the third act. I'm just really glad I didn't miss movie night.

The sequel is a fun movie, and I never saw its cover
This movie got notably better as it progressed, some stuff are disjointed, and it makes me wonder what happened to the two the guys in the background

This probably is far better than Pearl Harbor, I wager.

Big time! Of course Pearl Harbor's effects and action were much better, but this was a superior film.

Shame

A great character piece for Fassbender but there was very little plot with no resolution. The only thing it really had it going for me was the great shots of New York City....oh there's a lot of f***ing. A lot.
6/10

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within

Probably the best video game movie of all time. Not that it's great or anything, but the premise is pretty cool, the voice acting is quality, and I was pleased to see that the CGI still holds up after over 10 years.

Underworld Awakening ... again lol

While it was as short as the other films (if I recall the prequel was short as well), I still have my gripes about the film itself but I still think it was awesome nonetheless.
