Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within

Probably the best video game movie of all time. Not that it's great or anything, but the premise is pretty cool, the voice acting is quality, and I was pleased to see that the CGI still holds up after over 10 years.

I remember when it was new, didn't like not using elements from the game franchise.
Pretty decent movie on its own, and the CGI is well handled

Hah. Video game movies are still at a point of awfulness where I can't event worry about faithfulness until they at least get their quality issues corrected first.

And, like you said, FF was decent. Street Fighter, Doom, etc. were not even close to decent.

man, I couldn't watch Death of the incredible hulk more than once, incredibly depressing, i don't recall the plot, but I didn't think it was that good.

Trial of ...though, for an 80s tv movie i thought it was pretty good, the guy from Street Hawk who played Daredevil was fine, and it was great to see the Hulk rescue him from the clutches of the kingpin, who was played by Gimli from Lord of the rings. that was Stan Lee's first ever live action cameo in the courtroom as well.

I was left a bit cold by the ambiguity of the ending but was still into the satire and characterization. It might be Bale's best performance (either this, The Fighter, or Rescue Dawn).

I don't get all the hate this movie receives.

I'm a huge horror fan, and a picky one at that. With that being said, I feel that most of the horror films this past decade have sucked balls.

I'm not saying Insidious is a great horror film, but it's definitely better than **** like the Paranormal films and all the Saw sequels.
