Looper: 4/5

A great time travel film. Really well done. I do have things in the film that I would've done differently but that's just me.

Teen Wolf

Decent. But Stiles is the man. Stifler ain't got **** on him.

Buried

5/5, wow I didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I did.

detective dee and the myster of the phantom flame

Killing them softly

This film was very good. Violent as hell. The effects of the violence were awesome. Brad Pitt was supercool in this.

Carrie
First time viewing it and it holds up pretty well. Cinematography was pretty nice in some areas. I did feel some characters needed to be explored a bit more, but hey, a remake is coming. Hope it can pull something new out of the bag.

The Raid: Redemption.

Dredd really was just a remake of this. I still might prefer Dredd a little more though.

Dredd was written and started filming long before The Raid. In fact The Raid had a very different plot until a last minute rewrite.

Just some food for thought. ;)

As part of a combo blu ray I picked up for $5

Texas Rangers 6/10

Dead Man (1995) Starring Johnny Depp 8/10

I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to infer Dredd ripped The Raid off or anything, just that they are, essentially, pretty much the same story done differently.

And as I said, I think I actually prefer Dredd.

Although it really could've used some Kung Fu. :o

I don't know how people could possibly think this. They were released within months of each other. Do people really think they wrote, did preproduction, shot, edited, and post on Dredd in 6 months, in response to the middling box office performance of a cult foreign film?

Ah.
Well now I feel like I overreacted.
Still kinda stands for other people who are serious about that though.
