Whats the worst story arc you've ever read?

I'm not sure about actual story arcs, but I think one of the worst individual scenes I've ever read is the infamous Sally Floyd MySpace rant.

I would have mentioned it myself, if the entire miniseries were as bad as that moment. It wasn't, but it did try pretty hard.

The Wonder Man/Skrull-Beast fight in one of the tie-ins made me sad because it's the funniest Beast has been in like 10 years... and it wasn't even Beast.

Totally agree for me that was the only thing to come out of that whole SI crap that was any good. That's bad when the funniest he's been in years turns out to be a skrull. Talk about OMD. I wish the beast would make a deal with the devil to be funny again. Damn!

grant morrison raped my favorite character with his little "second mutation". there's a cat-man in the DC universe, and he's a *****e. take notice marvel...

does anyone else miss gorilla-like beast? even if just for his sense of humor?

seeing dark beast in dark x-men made me wish him even more.

and since we're busy retooling b-listers (hercules, nova, etc.), i would read every friggin issue of a Beast & Wonderman book. f*** batman and robin, that is the ULTIMATE dynamic duo.

Man! i totally miss the Blue fur -Wolverine haircut. I hate this Kitty cat look especially with that stupid ascot when he mutated. Only one person should ever wear a Ascot and that's Freddie from Scooby- Doo!( at least he was cool sneaking away with Daphne all the time).There should be *BBD!" Blue Beast Day." He makes a pact with mephisto and changes back blue with a funny bone again

I miss Beast's sense of humor, but not in the sense that it's particularly tied to any version. I'd be fine with cat-Beast if he just weren't so gloomy. I think the most interesting thing they could do with him, though, is revert him all the way back to his original human appearance. The guy considered giving up his mutation altogether to restore that in Astonishing; imagine what kind of effect it'd have on him if he got it.

He still says it from time to time, I think. He still quotes now and then, too. But he's never just goofy anymore. He used to get pretty silly alongside Bobby and Wonder Man, but now, nothing.

my biggest deal with Cat-beast ( well besides the ascot ) was that this is suppose to be one of the most agile/Agility Somersauting heroes in the MU. probably second only to Spider-man. Cat-beast looks like a mack truck. This guy is suppose to be agile built like that?!? I liked the lean, lithe look of the blue one. Plus he was "the MACK" with the ladies back then. I haven't read any Xmen book in along time Frankie so i am out and that goes too for the Ultimate line Sorry Combat. I wouldnt know what the hell is going on there.

Cassaday portrayed cat-Beast as pretty acrobatic in Astonishing. But for the most part you're right, Beast tends to just stand around and be angsty or do lab work now.

IT's too obvious to mention, but two years of bad ideas and a flat plot that doesn't go anywhere, then you turn your good guy into a sad coward that will turn a person whenver things go bad, then the pact with Mephisto, it's the absolute worst thing I've ever seen in all my years of reading comic books. This character has no dignity anymore and I can't even read a book with him in it.

With exception of Hulk #600, I wish he hadn't been in that one.

If you remember, I defended that series pretty hard up until that one issue. Then, I just couldn't. I mean, Sally Floyd was annoying as hell but I liked Urich in it. But jesus, Sally Floyd is a dumb *****.

I'm the same as you, I liked and defended the series all the way up until the final issue, then I just crapped a brick. It was the most rediculous thing I've read up to that time.

Secret Invasion hasn't gotten enough mentions. What a piece of ****. 5 issues of heroes in the savage land doing nothing, barely any worthwhile dialog. Making Spider-Woman, Hank Pym etc skrulls for NO reason. Killing off Wasp for NO reason.

It was terrible.
