Which characters should be included?

I'd make the Hulk the macro villain of the movie. Sabretooth has to be in it, they need the old suits from the comics with the brown, black, and yellow, and Alpha Fight could help fill in the gaps in the story.

It's almost a given they will focus heavily on Weapon X, I'd be surprised if they didn't; this could turn the focus of the movie toward another iconic character, Captian America. Generating yet another spin-off.

Ok, since I was disappointed with the casting in X3 on so many levels this movie may be my saving grace. Ok, I am a HUGE fan of Gambit, and I was so pissed when he didn't appear in X3, so I don't care how many spinoffs they have, just spin Gambnit into one of them. I like Hulk but he could be a little too powerful as a villain for Wolverine. I agree on Sabretooth, the classic suit (if they can make it work) and Weapon X but am not too worried whether Alpha Flight are included. Cap could also be linked although he probably deserves to make his first appearance (ignoring that other awful film made about him) in his own film than as a subplot in a Wolverine film.

I think the oly way it could work, keeping the action balanced with being an awesome movie, would be to go the weapon-x route. Start it out maybe taking place after X3 (I'm just acceptign x3, the second viewing made me like it a whole lot more if i pretend cyke isnt dead), then have him exploring abandoned weapon x facilities (like the storylines where wolvie was teamed with maverick, kestrel, sabertooth, silver fox etc) and flashing back to a certain mission when he was teamed with them. It would reveal part of his past, and it would also provide a good spy espionage action story.

I want to see Sabretooth, Omega Red, Stryker & Lady Deathstrike.

Deadpool & Silver Fox would be nice to see but then it seems a bit over-crowded.

I didn't see the Stryker option and I didn't vote for him

Sabretooth is a must. Though, I would like to see someone new. I didn't fancy Tyler Mane as Sabretooth in X1. He was...lacking.

I'd also like to see John Wraith, Stryker, Deadpool and Deathstrike.

John Wraith would be Stryker's right-hand man in the military. Deadpool as one of the Weapon X experiments. And Yuriko as Wolverine's lover.

Seeing Deadpool cracking jokes would be a sight to see, but seeing how Wolverine is going to be a dark prequel, I somehow doubt that there would be comedy. But hey, him kicking all kinds of asses is more than enough. Stryker sends Deadpool to hunt down the escaped Wolverine.

Yeah I want to see Sabretooth plus something new (Deadpool would be great). Tyler Mane certainly looked the part but he wasn't tested with any lines so we don't know really know whether he'd be any good. I don't mind if they change the actor.

At least give Sabretooth more lines. Make him the sick and sadistic villain who taunts his opponents as he fights.

I used to love his psychotic, sick but intelligent taunts. He was one of the most disappointing comic to movie translations for me.

Well, logically there needs to be a main villain and a love interest...and then the secondary characters...

I wonder how they will have Sabretooth... if he looks entirely different to the X1 version, it might be odd

Omega Red - casting Vladimir Kulich
Silver Fox - casting Sandrine Holt or Cinthia Moura
Stryker - Brian Cox of course

There is still a opportunity in the "Mutant Academy"-spinoff (if they make it), what be cool too. But I dont think theyll put Gambit in Wolverine. Altough it would be cool. At least a freakin cameo (Gambit and Wolvie bump in each other in an airport or something), he desrved it. Well but there is always X-men 4 (again, if they make it), what has a good chance of being made. Id like to see psylocke in her original suit t:, and Lucy Liu could play it. But a (hot) talanted unknown asian actress would be cool because then we could Identify here more as Psylocke.

If Gambit were to appear, I'd only be looking for a cameo to be honest. He isn't an important character in Wolverine's history so doesn't really deserve any more than a very quick scene if anything at all. If X4 ever gets made I'd prefer him to take a large role in that but otherwise I just want to get a chance to see him in some form. I'm not expecting to see him make it into the Wolverine film.

As for Psylocke I couldn't agree more

He doesn't need to look any different as long as he is given a more faithful portrayal this time.
