Everyone says that but I've seen it and it's not. The playground scene always kills the movie for me. That scene should have never been filmed, much less left in the movie.

I want Daredevil to be done by Marvel. He'd be a great first step in Marvel getting the street level heroes off the ground. He can open the door for characters like Luke Cage, Moon Knight and the like.

In order of preference:

-Fantastic Four: As others have said this needs to happen. It opens the door to the whole cosmic part of the universe with Silver Surfer, Galactus, Annihulus, etc. which opens the door to other cosmic type projects like Nova. The Inhumans are another group that are tied to the Fantastic Four (maybe not in the movie rights but who nows). Also, they would get Doom and (presumably) Namor back. FF would open alot of doors for Marvel to use these other properties.

-Daredevil: As Matt Mortem said Daredevil's a big step towards getting other street-level heroes off the ground. Since it's unlikely that Spider-man will be back in Marvel's hands anytime in the near future Daredevil could likely be a flagship character for the street level Marvel U much the way Iron Man has been for MCU thus far.

-X-men: It would be interesting to see them worked into the main MCU but it would be difficult without cluttering things. Also, other than Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch we don't really lose to much with these rights being tied up. Not to mention we wouldn't get the original lineup X-men movie that alot of people (me included) want without Wolverine being shoved in the middle of it because Marvel would want to connect him and the X-Men with the Avengers ASAP once they got the rights back.

-Spider-man: Don't really mind these rights being out of Marvel's hands. Spidey's better as a loner, there's no way Marvel would get the rights back and not put him in an Avengers film which I don't want. Its going to be hard enough dividing the screen time as it is.

-Ghost Rider: I only want a Ghost Rider movie if its done right (i.e. as supernatural horror) and not pushed as a superhero flick.

-Blade: Not really interested in another Blade film. Not that he's a bad character, I think the first 2 are fine on their own and all bringing Blade back would do is maybe let Marvel hop on the vampire thing people are hooked on. Also, Blade doesn't really add much to the Marvel U on huge level. While it would be interesting to see Marvel play with some of their horror properties I just don't know that they'd be able to pull those off well. Marvel and DC have both tried to create movies based off their non-superhero properties (see Jonah Hex, Howard the Duck, etc.) that work fine on page but the films have been problematic.

-Punisher: I think Punisher works best seperated from most of the superhero stuff. Would maybe work amongst interconnected street level films but thats a big problem that even comics writers can't seem too tackle all that well and I think screenwriters would have an even harder time working in Punisher amongst all the superheroes.

Well Marvel has the Punisher back. It's just a question of how they plan to use the character. There have been rumblings of a TV show, so they might just go a head with that instead of another film.

You read my mind or my previous post, either way let us hope that somehow Slade runs out of time, Fox gives up and the whole works reverts back to Marvel.

I'd be excited just to hear him mentioned in a Marvel Studios production at this point.

Now that you mention it, is Moon Knight an official Marvel Studios property? If the worse comes to fruition and Fox keeps a lock on DD I'll gladly take Moon Knight as our go to street guy in the already growing universe we've been presented to.

To my understanding, the rights to Moon Knight are still with Marvel. I do wonder what a Moon Knight movie would be like.

Very complicated to pull off.
There is deep psychology to it and if that is done wrong it'll put off audiences like Ang's Hulk did.

Fantastic Four. If they based it around the current FF plot, they would be on to something.

ADD: With Punisher, I don't see the need for another movie. Maybe that's because I was never a big reader of the comic, but the first movie was brilliant and could be left alone as a classic, provided we forget what came after. =p

Far as I'm concerned all 3 Punisher movies had something but never went anywhere good with it.

If some of Ennis's stuff could be faithfully adapted people would finally respect Castle as more then just Charles Bronson in tights.

I wonder IF the FF going back to Marvel would include the Silver Surfer, since Fox optioned him years before they optioned the FF? The reason the SS was in FF2 was because they already owned the rights to him, and not because he was included in the package.
I would assume Medusa as a member of the Frightful Four is included, but I wonder if that extends to the Inhumans?
Namor was never part of the FF/Fox deal, as Universal owned him, but I understand Marvel already has him back.

Marvel is developing an Inhumans film: http://www.badassdigest.com/2011/03/07/marvel-is-bringing-the-inhumans-to-the-big-screen But I'd rather have Dr. Reed and his family introduce me to them. This synopsis sounds like Marvel trying to refashion the characters because they don't have the X-Men rights.

I have always thought the Inhumans was Kirby taking the mutant concept to the next level. They were introduced into the FF shortly after Jack left the X-Men and it somewhat felt like he was not finished with all his ideas for that series, so he rolled them over into the Inhumans.

While I would love to see the Inhumans in the Marvel Universe, in a perfect world they would be introduced via the FF - just like in the comics.

I really want a fantastic four film set during the 60s of the cinematic universe

Fox has no idea what to do with F4, and the greater Marvel universe really needs Reed Richards. This feels like a must, actually.

It would be nice if Daredevil and Elektra went back to Marvel for use with Alias, Luke Cage, Moon Knight and others, but otherwise I can live with the Daredevil: Director's Cut and just write off that franchise if I have to.

Fox can have X-Men. The current comics are unreadable and impenetrable to the mainstream now and the movies have done well enough that remakes would just piss people off. Sooner or later characters like Magneto will be too dated to use at all, so I say let Fox do what they will and then let the whole franchise go to the grave.

The F4 is the only franchise that I think can be classified as essential to get back really. It just opens so much more up for Marvel Studios to work with. You don't just get the F4, which is awesome itself. But you get the Silver Sufer and Galactus, which opens up the doors for big cosmic stories like Annihilation etc.

With Marvel still having film rights to the Avengers, Defenders, street levelers, cosmic Marvel including Thanos, and lots of characters as obscure as Machine Man or American Eagle, there's no need for Marvel/Disney to rush getting these rights.

Disney alone can't handle the juggernaut that is Marvel Universe. Max 3 movies from Disney is enough per year and that's counting sequels. Fox add another Marvel movie/year from Mutantverse. Sony every 2 years. It's still a win-win for Disney/Marvel because every successful movies will trickle down to comics, animated features, or other merchandising.

Now what Disney, Fox, and Sony should do is the integration of the movie universe.

DOES the FF going back to Marvel include the Surfer and Galactus? Fox optioned the Silver Surfer before the FF and under a different deal, so he might not automatically be included.

there is a possibility that Surfer and Galactus wouldnt automaticly return with FF

Really? Damn. Still, I think F4 is the best franchise to get back into Marvels hands.

well looks like Daredevil wont be going back to Marvel anytime soon....David Slade(director) has said that big news would be released this week in regards to Daredevil

I've been looking into this and I see articles saying they were in fact part of the initial FF package. Anyone seen anything otherwise?

Gross... I can already tell this is going to be another hack and slash job for Fox. Too bad.

The best thing to hope for is that Daredevil fails again and Fox decides to let it go.
