I like these designs for Hal
Nah. Doesn't look cool. He even wears it off-world where nobody even knows Hal Jordan. Doesn't make sense & it REALLY didn't look anything close to cool in live action. He doesn't want people to know who he is and it looks cool. Makes perfect sense.
Looking lame & not covering up enough to conceal one's identity is plenty of reason not to keep it. Comedian's didn't really cover enough either, it just didn't look as lame as Hal's bright green one. Arrow has a hood in addition to the mask. Hell, they even called him "The Hood" at 1st.It's not necessary. Nothing is, really. Since you're creating a new version of this universe and can remove or include whatever you want. But there's no reason not to keep it.
Domino masks worked fine for The Comedian and Arrow.
But then he still looks silly on Earth. Using John or Guy ends the mask debate instantlyLook, let's end this debate like this. When he is in space (mostly in his Green Lantern solo movies) he doesn't wear the mask. When he is on Earth (mostly dealing with JL or coming back to Earth as Green Lantern) he wears the mask.
Bingo! They shouldn't even try to pass that idea that it can hide someone's identity as it's silly
John's Injustice:GAU designs. I like the one on the left the most. Not a huge fan of them, but even the worst of them is better than what we got w/Hal. I wouldn't mind a mixture of these
I don't understand the reasoning behind armoured or weathered costume designs for GL. Does GL need to be wearing armour, and is his "costume" subject to wear and tear?
I know that, but why do some of these manips feature what looks like kevlar?
The first one I could definitely see working in this universe! I really like that one tooI like these designs for Hal

No offense, but the bunch of designs posted on the last couple of pages are, IMO, absolutely awful.
This please. (First one)I like these designs for Hal

Yeah I understand where your coming from, but at the same time I don't think ALL the manips should fall under tier. I took a lot of time and effort to make mine; it looks as close as possible to my favorite suit design for Hal Jordan.
I took the Max Steel suit because it is the closest thing to a 'skin-like' armored suit. I think the rings aura should forge the suit.

For the ring, I wanted the aura of the ring to consume the arm with energy. Sort of like the 'Hand of God' type of deal, being able to create anything with the power of will.
i agree. a practical suit with some digital effects added in post is the way to go.I hope they stay away from the CGI suit this time. Give him an actual costume, maybe light up the Lantern logo on his chest/ring when he's using his powers but save the rest of the CGI for constructs. I thought the CGI suit was awful.
Whocares? DM isn't wearing a costume, he's literally a naked glowing blue dude.Reminder Zack Snyder made Dr Manhattan like this:

Gaius Charles is my pick for John Stewart.
I don't think they went out of their way to draw attention to it at all, I mean that's a curious observation to me.The suit doesn't HAVE to be CGI but my point is that they went out of their way to make it appear gimmicky/standout in the GL movie with Reynolds. It could be done better and not stand out
