Who Am I, A Lowly Peasant, to Question the Wrestling Thread?!

I was listening to the HHH interview on Smackdown. I couldn't help but wonder why this title versus title match isn't a wrestlemania match. It would feel much more epic.

Also I so want D-Bry to join the Wyatts. That would be just great. Yes! Yes! Yes! Follow the Buzzards Bry!!!

The fact that it's John Cena going up against Randy Orton in this match, it automatically takes away any epic feeling that a match of this type of stipulation should have.

It's all PPV matches guys.

Didn't notice that. Thanks for pointing that out. :funny:

But no Lesnar/Punk and Cena/Bryan. Not even the RAW MITB match. All of which were better than Lesnar/Triple H and Rock/Cena.

Hunter can't admit Punk had a better match with Brock.

Yep, and they don't want to admit that Bryan had a better match with Cena than the Rock did.

Re: The History Of The World Heavyweight Title

WWE.com says its separate lineage. Everything else from WWE says its not. Fu** WWE.com!

Relax man. :funny:

I think we are at crossed wires again lol. :D The Blu Ray is for the best PPV matches of 2013 and those matches are on it. The Slammy MOTY selection had no criteria, it's just a terrible set of bogus WWE management choices, kissing the usual asses.

Slammys are like MTV music awards. Worthless.

Bryan shouts "Yes, Yes, Yes" and Luke Harper responds "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" :woot:

True, lol. But come on, these choices are flat out eye rolling.

I think him joining the Wyatt's would be a good way of getting him away from the "yes!" chant.

He'll be able to come out as the wrestling machine that he his.

Ten bucks says that Bret will either say HHH vs Lesnar is 4/10 at best or say that he wouldn't put Rock vs Cena in his top 1000 favorite matches. :funny:
Heh.. :woot:

Come on man, its not like the Slammy Awards really mean anything. We're not going to look back at this years from now saying "remember how Punk/Lesnar got snubbed for the 2013 Slammys?" We'll remember the matches that withstand the test of time.

Like the Slammy Awards mean anything :funny:

The Slammy Awards are worthless anyways.
Kayfabe guys.. :o :oldrazz:

Technically WWE can claim that the NWA World Heavyweight Championship was featured on WWF TV after WCW left the NWA, but considering WCW had a stronger connection to the NWA, and that the NWA world title itself is still active, it's silly to attach the history of the NWA to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. I don't think most remember Dan Severn with the NWA title on RAW anyway and he certainly wasn't wearing the Big Gold lol.
Heh. :woot: On a separate note, remember when Flair first debuted in the WWE and he and the Brain brought the Big Gold with them, but then had to return it back to the NWA when it was revealed they didn't have the right to do so.

Maybe the WWE will use the Slammy Awards show to show how to use the WWE App a million times with the belief that the audience watching on TV are morons.

They did something similar to that in 2011 I think and it was some of the worst piece of television I've ever seen.

I honestly hope Hardy will go back to WWE....his popularity is ALOT more effective in WWE than it ever will be in TNA.

Jeff Hardy was written out of the storylines for the time being Hardy said he had wrestled his final match with TNA and thanked the fans, appearing to be done with the company.
Speculation is that TNA just wrote Hardy off TV because he can't attend the UK tour that takes place in late January. Hardy is not being advertised for that tour.

Hardy signed a new deal with TNA that reportedly takes him through February 2015 although it's possible the second year on his contract was an optioned year. Hardy is signed with TNA at least through January 2014, depending on how the contract was structured.

Guys if what Justin LaBar says about the WWE Network is true, how many of you will buy it?

10 to 12 dollars a month for EVERY Raw, Smackdown, and non Wrestlemania PPV at the click of a button and the On Demand Option.

It's also supposed to have a similar model to Netflix

You're alive!

Anyway, I don't think they should move him away from it. It's the most over thing in wrestling right now.

On an unrelated note, just rented 2k14 from redbox (hope to get it for Christmas or shortly after). About to do an elimination 6-man tag Undertaker, Lesnar and The Rock vs 3MB.

But what about those times when the World Heavyweight title was vacated back in 2004? :o

I'd buy the hell out of that. With tte amount of content WWE has in addition to what you listed it's a good deal IMO.

Is the WWE Network actually going to have actual wrestling content? Or will they be shows produced by the hack Ryan Seacreast?

Well considering that most of their library is wrestling it stands to reason that they will.. It's cheaper to use content that you already have and it costs money to produce new stuff.

I am alive, just been hibernating.

I need to get 2k14 it looks awesome.

It's been like 2 years of the yes chant I'm over it a little. The crowd can have it but Bryan should stop with it.

More than likely JUST for the old school stuff.
