Who Am I, A Lowly Peasant, to Question the Wrestling Thread?!

If Sting being brought in to face Kane is seriously being considered, then they shouldn't even think about it anymore.

I just watched, and sorrt of agreed with a WrestlingJesus video. I'm scared now.

but yeah, even if he didn't want that match to be his first...where is the news coming from that Sting is even interested or seriously considering jumping ship to the WWE?

Only if the WWE truly makes Sting an offer he can't refuse...which they won't. We all know this. Sting will never come to the WWE. He made that clear after the Invasion storyline. It won't change.

I missed Raw but will look for it on my DVR after I shower,What are the positive highlights?

Which really sucks; though I guess having the record of never having once for the WWE is appealing as well for him.

Yep, he one of the few truly iconic wrestlers that can say he didn't need the WWE to reach that level of success. At this point, that is probably Sting's biggest justification not jumping ship.

How would you book the main event, Hunter?

If it was a case of booking purely for the wrestling product I'd turn Cena heel and let him be the true "Face of the WWE" character, basically changing very little about his current stuff but just making him a bit more smug and talking up how he's carried the WWE all these years and that while "Wrestling purists" might not see it, he's what's best for business.

I'd have Punk win the Rumble and basically be the guy that was never meant to happen, I'd have him cut a promo paralleling him and Cena with Rock and Austin, but pointing out that unlike when WCW was around Vince's stranglehold meant that he would force the guy he wanted into the top spot.

From there I'd keep it between the two, no Authority in the actual angle and blur the line between the mutual respect, the story of the WWE's way of selecting who fits their mold and the rivalry that sees both guys respect for what the title means to guys who put wrestling as their priority. Cena would have to throw in some jabs as to why he's a better fit for the role and Punk could pull at the favoritism that betrays the Hustle, Loyalty and Respect that Cena preaches.

Booking it in the real world though I'd keep it simple, Punk's dream to headline a WrestleMania, to go on last on the greatest stage of them all. Cena's perspective would then come from him not wanting the landmark Mania to go down as the night he got superseded as the guy and that of all the would be top guys he's turned away Punk is his greatest rival. I'd then have Punk point out that to cement his legacy he needs to win, that he had the longest reign in modern times but came up short against Taker and doesn't have that career defining Mania moment.

I'd use the Austin/Rock sit down style interview and a Piper's Pit segment within the build.

I can see him jumping ship this time around.

If only due to TNA not wanting to pay him.

And it looks like they might not.

OMG, Hunter. Can you write for WWE for the next 4 months?

:wow:

I dunno. I feel as though for years now, I always hope for a TNA talent to jump ship to WWE due to financial disputes only to be disappointed. I might happen, but I'll believe it when I see it.

...and promptly **** in my pants. If there is one thing I love about wrestling, it's when a surprise wrestler shows up. The last time that happened was when Rock came back in 2011.

Now THAT'S how you book a Big title feud. No burying the contender or champion, no potential screw jobs, and no convolution due to extra elements. Simple One on One booking

There's been perfect times for a Cena heel turn in the last couple of years and I doubt it'll happen anytime soon but right know it sure is another perfect time for it,WWE is overall in a slump and I don't think it's just the typical season booking so a major change is definitely needed!

The brand extension officially being over and titles being unified is a big start but not really enough,D-Bry/Pink and others are still very over and so there's no big need for Cena to remain the same even for marketing and publicity stuff when others are also doing big with Make A Wish and the likes,He's still getting very mixed reactions and even got booed when he left due to injury and return a few months later.

Cena going into WM 30 as the top champion to headline is typical..But a twist of Cena going into it as the new top heel and working for The Authority as their new corporate face of the company replacing Orton would be pretty damn big and could be special!

If Cena won at TLC, and then replaced Orton in The Authority angle, then I'd be fine with a definitive winner coming out of that match.

Basically Hunter laid out the dream scenario for WrestleMania 30. You can't beat that because the paranoia has already set in on Orton. Cena taking his rightful place as the corporate champion would be an earth shattering moment that I would remember for a lomg time. Fans would talk about where they were when it happend. Then seeing Punk as the top babyface? I would have a perma-grin a la Batman '89 Joker.

Since Hunico is now Sin Cara and his stock is seemingly higher than ADR's right now, I think it could be a good mask vs mask vehicle, if he or Mysterio feud with Kalisto/Samuray Del Sol when he makes it to the main roster. They should also feel free to take ADR off TV and bring him back in a Masked tag team with Ricardo Rodriguez or something. The more masks the better IMO.

Hunico replaced Luis Ignacio as Sin Cara for good?,Would be good news

Speaking of luchadors, Am I the only one who thought that it was boneheaded to unmask Juventud Guerrera and Psicosis in ANY promotion?

So out of the choices what do you all want the champion to be called after TLC?

-Unified Champion
-Undisputed WWE Champion
-Undisputed World Champion

I want Undisputed WWE but World would be fine too

What's stupid about those names is the WWE champion is already the undisputed WWE Champion. Same thing for the World Champion

I still shake my head when I think of Bischoff's boneheadedness in WCW when he decided to unmask all of the luchadors(Not sure if La Parka was included) especially in light of the fact that merchandise sales from those masks was being thrown down the drain.

WWE should have remasked Juventud and Psicosis when they brought them in and had them on Smackdown like they did with Rey Mysterio.
