Who IS Red Robin? A non-burger mystery.

I'm sure that'll be an oddity in another ten years' time. "Hey, remember that time Jason Todd randomly turned into an octopus? What the f*** was that about?"

It was delicious. Octo-Todd and Johnny Karaoke need their own book.

I'm never forgetting Octo-Todd.

One day I will ask Dan DiDio about him.

If you actually read it, there was a reason he turned into Octo-Todd. It wasn't just some "hey, lets see how ****ed I can make things and get away with it" that everyone seems to make it out to be. Those mutant powered freak dudes basically ate him and he fought his way out and for a while became merged with the one, turning him into that weirdass octopus looking thing. I mean, sure, it was kinda a "hey, lets see how ****ed i can make things before people start to complain", but I didn't really think that was the worst part of that arc. That would have to be Dick dressing up in his exact nightwing suit and going out on a runway with it...what the ****.

My God, what the hell are you guys talking about?

We're talking about Octo-Todd. It seems quite clear.

We all know it was part of the story, but it was just ****ing stupid.

Oh yeah, well when you put it that way....it's still ****ing ******ed.

"mutant powered freak dudes basically ate him" you're seriously defending that?

Sorta, but not really. I don't really remember it too well, but wasnt the arc centered on those villians who would eat people and what not? Todd was one that got eaten and he faught back instead of just going "oh no im getting eaten!"

He turned into an octo-monster. That's, I mean, that's really all that has to be said.

And years later, we're still talking about it.

Well that's not my fault. At least, I think it's not my fault. It might be my fault, but I don't think so.

And superman turned into 2 seperate beings.
And Nth Metal somehow stores Thanagarian racial memories
And The Beyonder turned into a cosmic cube Secert Wars 2.

There's countless things that just randomly happen or make no sense in comics, I'm just saying that at least the story had something to do with it and it wasn't just him as jason todd one minute, the next as octo-todd like everyones making it out to seem.

It's interesting that you would bring those up, because a little known fact about all three of those instances is that they are completely ****ing stupid.

No, factually, it wasn't that. But that was really how it felt. I mean, that was just so completely painfully ridiculous and absurd, I was just very jarred and did not read another comic book for about a day and a half (which is rare for me) because it was just so magnificently dumb.

I just re-read the arc that it happened in, and if you actually read it instead of gushing over how stupid it is, it actually makes some bit of sense. He got 'eaten' by Jakob, who spit him out into the egg thing, and while he was in it he was constantly injesting the random monster/alien/meta's fluids, so when he burst out it was for a short while bonded with him.

It's a valid reason/action/deus ex, much more than what people make it out to be.

Doesn't seem anyone is really is trying to dispute how much sense it made, just commenting on how silly it was, and it does seem like a pretty silly idea
