unfortunately with the media always concentrating on the bad, the world has grown a tolerance for inhumanity as long as its happening somehwere where they can't see it.

there are countless other regions and conflicts you could mention as well.

I mean how can people just sit and watch a genocide take place? Did we learn nothing from Auschwitz and Rwanda?

The Sudanese governemnt send militias to kill thousands in Darfur every week. America is too busy watching American Idle (pun intended) to even bring it up. Shameful.

We should help ourselves more. Don't give me this bull **** about how all America does is help itself, look how many people are poor and hungry in this country. Look at all these problems going on in our own country.

i don't mean to sound heartless, but i agree.
did yall know that even though it seems like there is a homeless man begging on ever street corner in every major city, the highest rate of homeless individuals in single mothers with their children.
now THAT could use some attention.​
