and no he's not a villain. He's a Superhero/soldier from another planet. He's Superman to the Shi'ar. On occasion he and the rest of the Imperial Guard battle the X-men but that doesnt make him a villain

Perhaps he could be for some reason become a wanted criminal in the Shi'ar imperium (maybe helping the Avengers with something eventhough it goes against the Majestrix wishes because he is doing what he believes is right/best for his people) long story short he ends up exiled from the Imperium and joins the Avengers

(it wouldnt be that simple of course but you get the general idea)

I dont think him being street level is a problem. The team ussually has a healthy mix of power levels.

I just think DD is cooler on his own solving problems in Hell's Kitchen and what not

Besides he can kill a thousand hand ninjas in the blink of an eye so he would have made a whole arc of NA pointless

Actually, plenty of street level have been Avengers. The Wasp would be considered street level, as would be Moon Knight, who wouldn't do crap to Ultron. Same with Captain America.


Daredevil wouldn't work simply because the guy couldn't be on a team for two consecutive issues without abandoning them and going on his own form of justice.

Hmm. I like the Gladiator choice as well, but ten bucks he bites it when he goes up against Vulcan in Uncanny in a later issue.
