Homecoming Who Should Be The Love Interest?

Though I won't argue the idea of having Emma Watson in the MCU, she seems more like a Gwen Stacey type than MJ. Also Sophie Turner is Jean Grey so that ain't happening.

Less focus on a romantic angle gives more time for Pete's overall supporting cast. And he can still date. I'd go with Liz as not totally serious thing for starters, with Gwen in his wider circle of friends. Though they might avoid Gwen entirely this time around, who can say.

Really should avoid Emma Watson. I love her and all, but she's not right for this project. She's already doing beauty and the beast. Don't think it will work out.

Frankly, in the next movie he doesn't need a definitive romance. Maybe he flirts with girls and tries to get dates, but because of Spider-Man nothing sticks.

Listen, he's a teenager in high school. Who finds their forever soulmate in high school? Most kids do not. Most kids get married after high school and college and even then they will split up later on.

Gwen and Mary Jane can be in the picture, but he shouldn't be trying to settle down with them as a high school sophomore or junior.

Carol hasn't even had her own solo film yet so I definitely don't want her first outings to be as "Spider-Man's girlfriend."

She doesn't have to be Peter's girlfriend immediately. I'd say it should start slowly(I mean there's an age gap that they need to get past ) over the course of a few movies but put something there so the tumblr fans can start shipping and pushing for Spider-Marvel to be the OTP in the MCU.

So yes in the end I endorse Spider-Marvel!

Besides I think Peter should try out a real woman rather settle for a high school girl don't you think?

No there's not. There's a weird obsession here with Watson.

IMHO, she's an uninspired choice for the project. Belle in Beauty and the Beast? No. Spider-Man's love interest? Yes.

If Watson were to ever join the MCU, I would rather it be for a much bigger role than a typical love interest or damsel in distress.

Ok do the ssm route and have Liz Allen and Gwen Stacy in the same hs as Peter. Of course peter , Harry and Gwen are the unpopular crowd and gwen is like a nerd. Or you can make it like usm and have mj be the hot nerd girl who secretly crushes on Peter . Somthing different from popular highschool girl likes aw akward nerd.
