Homecoming Who should be the Villain in Spider-Man (2017)? - Part 3

They better have some fantastic fight scenes with the villains.

Mysterio, Vulture and Scorpion are my top three choices.

Never was a big fan of Kraven though. The only time I'd be interested in him appearing on film is if Lizard was also in and he was hunting him.

The problem with this reboot is that there is now so much pressure on them to fulfill a lot. So many people have so much expectations. Me, for example, I want the best fight scenes. After watching The Winter Soldier and Deadpool, the action for a SPIDER-MAN movie, has gotta be top-notch. I want them to go back and do some hand-to-hand combat this time...not a lot of CG, but use it scarcely where needed. (Like in Man of Steel)

Also, all this depends on which villain is being used...

WHAT? MOS had way too much CGI

The less this movie and any of it's characters is like MOS the better.

Man of Steel didn't have that much CGI. They actually went out and blew up a city, it's called method acting. :o

Haha! For sure, in it's scope, but I was referring to them on the ground. I watched a featurette of how they shot the action. It was really cool. They really mapped out their choreography and planned out which punches were gonna be real to photograph, and which would blend into CGI.

Spider-Man is punches and kicks, which they can photograph, but he also has super agility in a sense. So a lot of those flips, dodges, etc, would have to be CGI.

Yea, as far as I'm concerned nothing has yet to top the train fight from SM2 and no villain has topped Doc Ock either. I'm hoping that we get something at least on par. Also let's keep it to one villain. Trying to get to the sinister six asap is what derailed the last franchise.

True, infact I would not mind at all if the first villain they started with was Ock.

I'm not with you there. I want a villain who hasn't been done yet. Preferably Mysterio or Scorpion. I do hope that this series does keep it's villains alive unlike the Raimi series.

Villains not need to be kept alive if they're only going to be in one film. Marvel have killed a lot of their villains.

well the problem with sony with asm 2 was to many hands in the cookie jar and them wanting the film to be avengers money maker. Now yes it be great if mcu spidey does ironman/avengers numbers. But ultimately we really dont need to do that to still be a good film. We should hope/expect to to make over 800mill(as even though it failed asm 2 did go over 700mill).

Plus we dont need to have different guys pulling writers/directors in different ways. You need to have a solid plan and stick with it. And dont go over board. Like natman have that smaller story like kevin and others have said and not go straight to end of the city problems again. While having a good reason for villain doing there thing and the spidey/peter stuff and what not.

As much as I want to forget the TASM films, I kinda do hope they don't really kill off the villains so that eventually Sinister Six would be possible. But I hope they don't rush it like with TASM. It shouldn't be obvious in the second movie already that a Sinister Six movie is the goal. Just have villains come naturally and then maybe at some point you have enough to round em up. But I guess it's something you can toy with. Someone like Green Goblin always seemed to die and re-appear, sometimes in the form of Harry as a new Goblin, but sometimes the real Norman. So I think there's many different ways you could do it.

They can still kill off villains and do Sinister Six. Not every villain need to be in Six.

I always say, if Marvel still did them, Spider-Man one shots with different villains.

I personally like to see the 1st big screen adaption be that of the original Six.

The cartoon, the lame cartoon had a not that bad introduction to Electro, they showed him as a looser that happened to get even more enhanced and powerful.

That's neat. Also helps that CDB voices Electro, I guess!

Eh, I really don't want them to try too hard to build up to Sinister 6. I'm not very interested in seeing the group. However, I don't want them to kill off villains pointlessly because I don't like shutting doors like that.

Just watching clips from Raimi's films. I want that kind of action back. The hard, raw action that doesn't look video game-ish. Both Green Goblin and Doc Ock were awesome.

I said it before I do really hope like marvel tv been keeping foes alive please for mcu spidey don't have x baddies die at end of each film. That's been problem in all the mcu films thr big bad has died besides loki. So hopefully they don't do that mistake for spidey foes.

Again as I said if we do a big bad and a minor guy per film. It makes it a easier and nice simple story and set up to do sinister 6 down the road.
