Spider-Man vs The CollectorI think the real villain of this film will be the fans.

they likely will be going smaller to bigger threats. As kevin did mention that awhile ago about supporting players and wanting to film feel more smaller scale like antman did. Then oh nyc is getting blown up once again by x baddie of the week. So going from the normal street thugs, to slightly powered guys, to the bigger more world threats is likely how they are going to go about things. I still curious to see how the villains will play into the hs plot and so forth.
As for villains yes almost all top lists for spidey put the osborns, ock, and venom as the top 3. Does that mean they are the only worthy guys no. He has plently of other a and b listers who be great in film too. As for the c/d list guys i still say i would love to see a few used here and there in the films as a minor montage action scene and spidey taking them out and we have more then just 1 or 2 foes he takes out over the course of the films and be oh spidey only has delt with these guys only. So you know we are building his world and hero career more and what not.

No, i mean that would be horrible, every villain should have a connection ALWAYS (For those unaware, this is sarcasmI just hope every villain doesn't have a personal connection with Peter or Spider-Man before becoming a villain.

Yes I been saying that for awhile now. Not everyone needs to be tied to peter. Again the only ones who should be close or close to peter is the osborns, connors, miles warren, and brock to a degree. The rest should not have any ties to peter.
Make Ock the mentor but have him be the opposite to Peter, what he could have been if he would had been bitter to everyone in his life including his friends and show Doc Ock as the nerd gone wrong.I like the Ock as a mentor idea much more than Norman as a mentor. Mostly because Ock is much more sympathetic than Norman.

i like venom myself. But i rather see mcu take on character done right and build him up. Same goes for new takes on ock, goblins, and lizard. Build up there pre villain selfs over a few films then have them turn later.

Yep. That right there is why I feel Ock is Peter's #1 villain.![]()
I myself think that if they have Kingpin, he could be funding the Sinister Six. As for Hobgoblin, i could easily see Phil Urich being him, instantly having the connection to Ben from Daredevil.I definitely see Marvel avoiding similar story structuring with what Sony did meaning, we won't get GG in the very first film, we won't get a story that leads up to GG, and we won't get personal connections of every villain he faces. I can easily see Scorpion or Vulture being the villain in the first movie, with Kingpin acting in the background--which would connect Daredevil to Spider-Man, then seeing Hobgoblin in the sequel.
