I just think Bryan Cranston as Norman Osborn is as perfect casting as Robert Downey Jr. As Tony Stark.

I'd like him as Adrian Toomes/The Vulture.

Bryan Cranson just doesn't fit the Green Goblin character.

I would prefer him as either Doc Ock or JJJ

i do not want friend of peter friend of family ultimate take on brock. I want to see classic brock a rival at the ubgle his bad life blames spidey for this and that. We dont need to teen folks out and what not in my book.

In the classic continuity, Brock was a reporter with the Daily Globe, a rival of the Bugle. He had broken the story unmasking the Sineater when Spider-Man caught the real Sineater, ending his career as a journalist. Like I said in the thread, this makes for better movies. With that said, no one but the purest of current comic book fans know a thing about the Ultimate Universe. So most people think of Brock as the guy who was in the cartoon as well as character that was created by McFarlane

I really hope yall know Green Goblin is more than just laughing

I'd love Cranston, but I just think he's too old now. It'd be one thing if they were gonna do a one-and-done with him, but considering this will be the MCU Spider-Man, they always have the bigger picture in mind and someone of Cranston's talents surely would not be wasted. Problem for me is I have no else I'd wanna see in the role aside from Bryan. :(

I'd say Gary Sinise, but he's also too old.

Chris Cooper was too old for Norman, too.

You bunch of ageists! :oldrazz:

lol honestly I don't care how old an actor is as long as they look the part. Cranston is starting to show his age, otherwise I'd have him as Norman in a heartbeat.

Although to be fair they did kill him off after like, a minute of screen time. All he had to do was lay down. :oldrazz:

Ugh I know. What a waste of a great character. Not to mention a bastardization of the Goblin story.

I say, whoever plays Norman and probably eventually the Goblin has some shoes to fill.

I'm just thinking of long term, dude.

That and there was never any real indication they'd do more with him, because what they had planned (with the frozen head or something) were cut, so I just took it as, "Oh, hey! It's sick Norman!"

Edit: Worked out nicely for me anyway, since I was still sour about Massee not being Norman.

Wouldn't it be funny and something not that bad if they mirrored the comics and Norman appeared but they don't show his face.
Just imagine people's reactions to that.

It's not like the guy is in his eighties.

Correct, but he's about to be 60 in March. And if he was in his eighties, he wouldn't even be brought up as a choice.

As Joker brought up, he's showing his age. I wouldn't really want that contrast between Peter (and how young he's going to be) with Norman, as that contrast is better suited to someone like Vulture.

Either way, I'm expecting 30-40 range for Norman (if he's even used).

That was a real missed opportunity. I was so looking forward to TASM2 having Peter going up against Massee as Norman / GG. Things didn't quite turn out how I'd hoped on that one

True. Holland is 19, the oldest his villais and supporting characters should be(their actors I mean)is ten or 20 years older thanthat. With the exception of naturally older character like Toomes, Aunt May, Silvermane, and Ben.

Ya as much as I like Cranston he is older then we likely to get 35 to 45 yrs old range for norman to make having a late teen kid not seem to old and what not.

I did love there doug jones and Haley picks. And like I said yesterday didn't like there brock pick. And while forest is good actor not who I really would like for ock. But others in there list was cool choices.

I was also thinking I said before for kraven I liked uded fuehr from the mummy films for kraven. But what about Karl urban.
