Imagine something like this coming out of the ocean:
![]()
Now imagine it has millions of offspring that look like smaller versions of itself, and they can take control of your mind and body.
With the right design, Starro could give off a wonderful Lovecraftian or HR Giger vibe, which would be a wonderful change of pace. Beats the hell out of [insert generic alien army here].
Yes.
Reminds me of something I suggested last year for a JL sequel.
Since Thanos is going to be on screens next year in Guardians, I think it's best to leave Darkseid to the end, perhaps introduced in the third Superman movie
Justice League (2017): Brainiac
![]()
-Brainiac swiftly mangages to take control of the entire Earth's communications/military/internet, etc, essentially shutting off the world. Thus the need for those who aren't plugged in, aka the superhumans.
![]()
-The League turns to the Amazons for help, whose technology would be safe from Braniac's control.
-It's revealed that Braniac wants to learn the secrets of the old/new gods in Themyscira, and the JL accidentally lead him there. However, the knowledge Brainiac seeks does not exist anymore, thus he turns his attention to capturing the Flash, who unknowingly has the ability to travel back in time, which would allow Brainiac to learn the truth.
Justice League 2 (2020): Atlantis (Aquaman) // Starro & each other
![]()
-Atlantis makes their debut. The JL botch an attempt to infiltrate Atlantis to diffuse a situation, and the Atlanteans attack the surface world.
-The kraken that their king Arthur is seemingly controlling is actually Starro (the first JL villain from the comics, who conquered MMH's homeworld long ago), and it's the one actually controlling Arthur!

(in following movies, like the Aquaman solo movie, there's debate as to how much control Starro had over Aquaman, causing League members to not trust him. Would Arthur have acted differently if he was in control? The public also doesn't understand it and assumes he's a villain, making his uphill battle of being accepted by the surface world that much more difficult)
Justice League 3 (2023): Secret Society + Darkseid
![]()
-Lex forms the Secret Society in an effort to be rid of the individual members.
-It's later revealed that he is being manipulated by Darkseid, whose forces invade Earth.
-Darkseid's forces are able to escape (Boom Tube) along with the thousands of humans they have captured, and the JL heads to Apokolips (via Cyborg's boom-tube) for a rescue mission.
-Flash is able to sent Darkseid back in time (and himself), never to return. It's hinted that Darkseid may in fact be the ancestor of all humanoid species and that the anti-life equation paradoxically does not exist.
