Imagine something like this coming out of the ocean:

Now imagine it has millions of offspring that look like smaller versions of itself, and they can take control of your mind and body.

With the right design, Starro could give off a wonderful Lovecraftian or HR Giger vibe, which would be a wonderful change of pace. Beats the hell out of [insert generic alien army here].

Yes.

Reminds me of something I suggested last year for a JL sequel.
Since Thanos is going to be on screens next year in Guardians, I think it's best to leave Darkseid to the end, perhaps introduced in the third Superman movie

Justice League (2017): Brainiac
Brainiac_New_Earth_001.jpg

-Brainiac swiftly mangages to take control of the entire Earth's communications/military/internet, etc, essentially shutting off the world. Thus the need for those who aren't plugged in, aka the superhumans.

-The League turns to the Amazons for help, whose technology would be safe from Braniac's control.
-It's revealed that Braniac wants to learn the secrets of the old/new gods in Themyscira, and the JL accidentally lead him there. However, the knowledge Brainiac seeks does not exist anymore, thus he turns his attention to capturing the Flash, who unknowingly has the ability to travel back in time, which would allow Brainiac to learn the truth.

Justice League 2 (2020): Atlantis (Aquaman) // Starro & each other

-Atlantis makes their debut. The JL botch an attempt to infiltrate Atlantis to diffuse a situation, and the Atlanteans attack the surface world.
-The kraken that their king Arthur is seemingly controlling is actually Starro (the first JL villain from the comics, who conquered MMH's homeworld long ago), and it's the one actually controlling Arthur!

(in following movies, like the Aquaman solo movie, there's debate as to how much control Starro had over Aquaman, causing League members to not trust him. Would Arthur have acted differently if he was in control? The public also doesn't understand it and assumes he's a villain, making his uphill battle of being accepted by the surface world that much more difficult)

Justice League 3 (2023): Secret Society + Darkseid
darkseid_doodle_by_nebezial-d2zpmnd.jpg

-Lex forms the Secret Society in an effort to be rid of the individual members.
-It's later revealed that he is being manipulated by Darkseid, whose forces invade Earth.
-Darkseid's forces are able to escape (Boom Tube) along with the thousands of humans they have captured, and the JL heads to Apokolips (via Cyborg's boom-tube) for a rescue mission.
-Flash is able to sent Darkseid back in time (and himself), never to return. It's hinted that Darkseid may in fact be the ancestor of all humanoid species and that the anti-life equation paradoxically does not exist.

Darkseid & Lobo are my picks. Lobo can be a lackey for Darkseid for awhile, maybe ditch Darkseid and join the league for a bit...

Given that The Avengers used the alien invasion plot and teased Thanos in it's first movie, I'm worried that using Darkseid or White Martians or Starro or any kind of alien threat in the first JL movie is going to be seen as a retread.

What about starting off with an alternate universe invasion story instead of an alien invasion one? Maybe after the Crime Syndicate takes over their earth they find a way to enter ours and have plans to expand their power, and that is why the Justice League forms, to take down these super beings and stop them from taking over our dimension like they took over theirs? It would allow the first JL movie to separate it from Marvel Studios films, as Marvel doesn't seem to deal with alternate realities much (mostly time travel).

First JL film, bring in Doomsday and use some of the Death of Superman and then JL sequel be Superman's resurrection time to face Darksied, which would fit well with a new single Batman film made between the two as we could see Batman having to cope without his friend and dealing with the grief of his loss.

Marvel dumps out so much product that worrying about parallels is pointless. The important thing is to do it better.

I think the Atlanteans would be better for a JL sequel. Introduce Orin in the first movie, before he's a king. Then let him have a solo film first. Maybe make him the champion of Atlantis or something like that. I think it would awesome he Triton or Poseidon was warring against Atlantis for control of the oceans and Aquaman is a presented as a warrior to stop him. Make sure a close relationship of trust and respect is establilished between him and Orm. That way if Atlantis attacks the surface in a JL movie you can have an Aquaman stuck in a difficult position between the the surface world he grew up on with his father, or his Brother and Atlantis.

I could see them taking a similar rout to the JL cartoon. With the league not knowing if they can trust aqua man until his brother over throws and captures him. (Just add in a war threat with the amzonians.) But that might draw too many parallels to the Thor and Loki ark.

I can see Aksum mans brother staging the assassination of an Amazonian higher up as an official act of Atlantis. Aqua man of course would deny this and this justice league would form to defuse a war that could potentially destroy the earth. The 6 members could be superman, batman, cyborg, Wonder Woman, flash and green lantern, while aqua man still plays an important supporting role.

The latest rumour from Kevin Smith(who I'm going to trust as the Batsuit info pretty much turned out true to me) states that the DCCU could be "about five or six movies" in sequence with each other. In terms of villains, does that mean they're going to take a sort of New 52 like approach where the events of Trinity War pretty much led into Forever Evil for example?

What does everyone think?

I would prefer them to doing a different thing than Marvel, by trying to make each film complete and the best they can, instead of constantly hyping the next one in the sequence. But i think that's doubtful, DC should be careful not to enter into MCU's strategy, because Marvel has it all figured out and pretty much set the rules, and i don't think the people behind JL are good enough to beat them in their oun game.

So apparently it's rumoured that Darkseid and Maxwell Lord are involved. Thoughts?

Stupid combination, doubt it's true.

If that is true... Darkseid is using or maybe brainwashed Max Lord.

My villain choice is Hyperclan.

How i imagine the Plot going is below

Supermans reportedly dead at this time and diverse superheroes have begun to pop up.The World is slowly falling under the totalirian rule of 7 powerful Government Leaders who it turns out are actually group of 7 Warrior martians in disguise known as the Hyperclan.
The Hyperclan declares all Superheroes as threats and this leads to the world government leaders sponsoring the creation of OMACs) to hunt down,Capture and if necessary kill other Superheroes.Superheroes are forced to go into the hiding. The Hyperclan also uses the Omacs to further establish totalitarian rule of earth under the disguise of protecting the world .

This are very dark times.

But theres hope.

Superman the one superhero the public trusted, returns from the dead and gathers Batman, Wonderwoman ,Flash and Gl to form the Justice league-a group of heroes that lead a resistance movement that protects Superheroes, fights against the Rising of the evil Government and seeks to expose the Hyperclan-They fight for freedom and Justice.

Through the course of the story they find out more about the Hyperclan-They are a group of 7 Martian warriors who have been on earth for thousands of earth. They have been working behind the scenes orchestarting human history-we find it out they were responsible for the end of the age of mythological heroes and now they seek to end the age of superheroes.

After defeating the Army of Omacs and exposing the disgused Hyperclan members-the time for the Leagues Final battle comes. We discover that the Hyperclan have been using alien tech to extract powers from captured superheroes. They gain superpowers that makes them a match for the league(prior to this time they were just shapeshifting aliens. They had no other powers). The final battle takes palce at the Whitehouse with the Hyperclan vs the League. The League however gets a suprisng help from one of the Hyperclan members-Jonn Jozz who has secretly been helping the League all this while. So the League with the help of Jonn Jozz defeats the Hyperclan.

So the good guys win but its not over.In the after credits scene we discover that the Hyperclan had a Secret King who has always commanded from the shadows-The Immortal Vandal Savage. And he hasnt given up yet...........onto Justice league 2.

Hope you liked it

sperman hasnt earned the publics trust yet. he shouldn't "die" against batman in BvS, then come back and team up with him. thats weird.

We really don't know what's supposed to have happened since MoS.

Actually I imaine Superman dying 4 yrs after BvS NOT in BvS.He wins public trust in BvS and dies 4yrs later.

This picture proved to me that Starro could be great if done right.
