I've read summaries of every chapter of the novelization, no autobots die. Period. Go over to tfw2005, a guy put the every chapter summary up.

I hope some Autobots die in ROTF, esp. the twins. Why is it that it's alright for Decepticons to die but not Autobots? Btw, I know that Jazz died in TF1 (which was handled very poorly), but you have alot more deaths for Deceps. Kill off more TFs will allow them to introduce new characters in TF3, and it will validate Prime's message about sacrifice in the first movie.
