Transformers Why all the hate?

I think they pretty much nailed it, but the only flaw I could find is that it seemed to be more about the humans than the robots. Which got boring after awhile. But I guess they were saving it for the climax, which kicked several asses btw.

Some people complain about it not being close enough to the cartoon, only a fool would go in expecting a perfect carbon copy of the cartoon. If it was just the same as the cartoon, wouldn't it be boring since we've seen it all before? They were very creative (in a good way) yet still managed to remain true to the basic formula. Giant fighting robots. :trans:

Well since 87% on supererohype.com gave it either a 8,9 or a 10,it has A- on yahoo from 30.000 votes and has 8.1 on imdb from 40.000 votes,i think the majority of the people agree with you....there will always be some people who wont like it but that's ok,cause nothing is perfect so you cant expect it to have non haters especially since it's Transformers and has so many fans.

listen. in my optinion transformers was bettar than any super hero movie i have ever scene and the only ones i havent seen from marvel are the blade movies. and havent seen hell boy, or 300, and catwoman, and i think some other non marvel or dc movie. Go transformers and please read transformers unleashed my fan fic:trans:

I was unaware of all the hate from this film...

It seems to be one of the most loved films of the summer aside from Knocked up and now The Simpsons.

well if this was from critics dont listen cause they hate everything

I'm not aware of any hate. I've seen the film 3x now, and will probably see it again.

I haven't seen any casual movie goer who did not like the film. Quite the opposite. I know many people who were skeptical about seeing a movie based on "toys or comics", but they took a chance, and love the movie.

I think it's one of the best comic to film adaptation yet of any superhero film.

I guess all that laughter and applause I heard when I saw this film was sarcasm.......I gave this movie a 6.5 btw.

Transformers is the best movie i've seen all year. It was done extremely well and after seeing it twice, it only got better the second time around.

i just wish ther would have been more starscream (dont know if i spelled the rite) his my fav and had like 1 line

I just didn't care for it at all, I didn't like the humor and well most of it. I am too lazy right now to actually go into detail about it but whatever.

At least you guys enjoyed it, but I would not want to see that movie again for a while.

Robots were beautiful to look at.

the humans were the death of this film.

I gave it a 5.

ya the humans didn't bring much to the table, and I love how on websites they describe the personalities of the Autobots and decepticons but they all acted basically the same, well the Autobots did but the Decepticons were all the same

because, special effects aside, it wasn't a very good movie. it was choppy, the story was a giant cliche, the jokes were bad, we were cheated out of seeing the best parts of the robot fights and some of the moments with the autobots were so out of character it was ridiculous.

The humans imo were not boring. I found Sam and the Soldiers to be quite entertaining. It help balance the film.

Only Peter Cullen's reprisal of Optimus Prime discouraged me from giving the film 1 1/2 out of four stars as opposed to 2 1/2 stars. I wasn't expecting a perfect carbon copy of the cartoon, but in terms of character designs. character behavior, dialogue and plotline I was expecting a film much closer to the classic animated series as well as Generation 1-themed comic books, similar to what was accomplished with Spider-Man. Bionicle-designs? Terrible.

Some of the human characters had interesting characteristics, but this movie felt more like G.I. Joe meets Terminator meets Jurassic Park meets Independence Day than The Transformers. And it was a poorly executed amalgamation of those far superior feature films. References to Spike's porn collection, the lusty shots of Mikaela, having her make the Sector Seven Agent strip, Bumblebee urinating on the Sector Seven Agent, were among the myriad things I disliked about the film. Shall I go on?

Please do. Shall I continue?
The CGI mess they called the fights.
The Decepticons without a spark of personality.
The complete lack of Starscream acting as he should have. Where did it show his dislike for Megs?
The fact that the story leading onto the glasses, was absolutely freaking useless.

Which goes to show how innaccurate Rotten Tomatoes is with it's 57% rating on Transformers. :trans:

I thought it looked stupid, but it's actually good. Though, Bay movies have generally negative reviews. I love Bad Boys, Bad Boys II, Armageddon & Pearl Harbor though.

THEY MADE A TRANSFORMER MOVIE!?!?!?!?

What I saw could have been a Go-Bots movie with the names changed, I surprised that Bay didn't have Prime as a Mini Cooper or some dumb ****.
Really is this the real Transformer's movie that you want.

I guess when the G.I Joe Movie comes everybody will be O.K if Duke is just a private, not the leader and Snake Eyes is a cook that took a few karate lessons.

Here's more:
-The hopelessly unfunny stereotyping and one-note characters.
-The army subplot, with characters who do little other than yell "Bring It!"
-Frenzy, the ******ed love child of Jar Jar and Johnny 5.
-That awful "comic" set pice about *********ing, and Transformers bumbling around endlessly.
-Editing to the point of epilepsy.
-No dramatic weight to the Transformers.
-Overlong.

Oh, and The Simpson's Movie was no great triumph either.

My thoughts exactly. I was disappointed in The Simpsons Movie too.
I'm glad I'm finding more who disliked the film, so we can somehow gather and attack Bay, rather viciously.

Bay's power lies within his Bon Jovi hair. The rest of his body is impervious to harm. You have to destroy the hair-symbiote!

I've said too much. I must go.
