"WHY....?": All the Unanswered Questions about X3 Script

Why shouldnt he send Logan & Storm? They are his top heroes.

As for Cyclops, I was never his biggest fan but throughout the X-men's existance he is the leader and they killed him off without a 2nd thought.
That was awful.

Angel was useless to the movie. He didnt fight with them because he wasnt trained like the rest of the X-men.

Uhm, isnt Colossus Russian?

The movie was entertaining but they basically took the comic story, threw it out the window and wrote their own story.

- Why did Jean kill Cyclops?
- Why didn't Colossus fight Juggernaut?
- Why did no one ask about Cyclops?
- Why was Storm so quick to label Jean as a traitor and leave her be instead trying to talk some sense into her? She could have at least tried to reason with Jean who has been like a sister to her.
- How did Xavier's mind or spirit or whatever get into the body of a guy in coma who was on the other side of the world?
_ Why did they add 94890585 useless no name mutants when the could have added Gambit and have him talk Rogue out of taking the cure? And not only for romance's sake. Gambit is a mutant who loves his powers and his mutantness. Maybe Rogue would realize that her powers could be fun and do some good. That could be the beginning of her liking Gambit.

-Where were Jean Grey's parents? And how did she get to the house?
She blew huge steel doors out of her way in the X-Mansion like they were cardboard and your wondering how she got into her old house? How about he used that "Xavier defragmenting" mind of hers to just undo the lock?

As for her parents, I don't know. Out somewhere is fine by me. Maybe her Mother is getting a bikini wax and her Father is buying viagra. Maybe even texting each other about how they're going to have rampant sex when they get home and tear the place apart.

Only to find out Jean and a bunch of her Male "Friends" already did that. What a ****.

Uhm, isnt Colossus Russian?
Isn't The Phoenix a cosmic entity? So Colossus speaks with an American accent, is that really your biggest concern about the character? It's just his voice, even he did have a Russian accent, does that make what he did in the movie any more important. Nope.

My question was always why, after Beast resigned his post as Secretary of Mutant Affairs (off-camera, but apparently during the course of the movie), then the whole Alcatraz Island incident destroys the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island itself and probably several city blocks of San Francisco, hundreds (or thousands) of National Guardsmen die, hundreds (or thousands) of Brotherhood mutants die or are depowered, probably some other civilian casualties and a huge financial loss for Worthington Labs... yet after ALL THAT ill will towards mutants, the president decides to appoint McCoy as ambassador to the UN? What's with that? I mean, yeah, McCoy is a good guy, but I'm pretty sure that after all that, the public isn't too enthralled with mutants.

I would assume that it is because the mutant renegade leader, Magneto was defeated.

I don't like that end, of Beast I mean. I would have preffered to have him in the school as a teacher, also with the goverment, but didn't liked that end in the movie... don't know...

- About Nightcrawler and "Senator Kelly", the writers simply didn't care about continuity and didn't want to explain anything, just Forget.
*sigh*

It isn't crucial to the plot of the movie but i'd love to have seen the kids reaction to seeing the reborn Jean Grey again (they must have seen her flying out).

LMAO:woot:
In the Dark Phoenix story there's a scene where she returns home only to be confronted by her parents and sister.Stuff like that could have helped to flesh out the character a bit more.

I'm agreed with your points, retro.

apparently none in the school saw Jean leaving the school :cmad:

and about her parents, don't know why they didn't include them in the present. Bad decision, in my opinion.

Just using them in the flashback and not in the house scene is kind of ridiculous.

YES, what did happen?!

When i talk to people outside these boards one of the first things that comes up where X3 is concerned is Nightcrawler's absence and why it wasn't explained in the movie.

-What was this storyboarded sequence involving Kitty about?

Nightcrawler's explained in the X3 game but I'm assuming that it's not accepted as movieverse canon? I thought it was.

That storyboard looks interesting. Kitty's phased into the President's vehicle but why if Beast has connections to him? Wasn't there a point early on when Beast was taking Jean's place as doctor? It would be cool if we could see the discarded drafts of X3.

My questions:
Why is Jean's neighborhood deserted? Not even sirens are heard after the house sequence.

How did Dr. Rao know that the "transformation can be jarring" if Angel was the first to take the cure?

Did Storm welcome back Leech to the school? It didn't make sense for her to seem so familiar with him at the end.

Why is Jean incapable of destroying adamantium?

Why is Jean incapable of destroying Scott's glasses?

What exactly is Rogue's role in a combat situation?

There's no mention of Cerebro at all. Did Xavier decide it was too dangerous to rebuild? I guess Callisto was written to have that mutant detection power for a reason.

too many questions, hahaha.

I have another:

- why Beast didn't have a doubt scene about taking the cure?

Why Colossus isnt laying the mack down on Kitty?...lol

-Where were Jean Grey's parents? And how did she get to the house?

It was never said in the movie, but in the novelization for X3, it was stated that Jean's parents were on vacation when the incident happened at the house.

How did Dr. Rao know that the "transformation can be jarring" if Angel was the first to take the cure?

I don't think she said "it CAN be" I think she said "it may be." Either way it's phrased it doesn't really matter, she's a doctor I'm sure she had a general idea of what would happen once a mutant took the cure.

there were so many unanswered questions about this movie, just so many bad things. I have a feeling the main reason for this is that Brian Singer left and the new director changed about 90% of the original script. Singer supposedly had Gamit in one draft and they even filmed a scene with gambit in it, Singer also had Rogue kick Juggernaut's butt. his script has, more explaining in it.

i read some of it on different sites and part of it was on the film's comentary.

what film? X3? did they name Bryan Singer's script?

they didn't talk about his script i found that on different sites, but they talked about how they had to change stuff cuz Anna was busy with something else and couldn't be there for the film.

Singer didn’t write the script for X-Men 3. He wrote a treatment of which little has been revealed save for a few details. Simon Kinberg and Zak Penn wrote the script for The Last Stand in conjunction with former director Matthew Vaughn. The original script review was posted online almost a year before the movie’s release. According to the script review, Rogue has a meatier role, but it was reportedly reduced due to scheduling conflicts.

dude, i'm not saying any of that is totally right, its just what i've read on multiple sites. But this was all before Singer left the movie and it changed.

"Rogue has a metier rol"

oh my... that sounds so great.... :csad:

I'd love to know what exact things she did in that original script. would like to talk with the writers again, hehe.

I think....but i'm not 100% sure....I think that she had super strength for a while.

To my knowledge, Singer wrote no script. He wrote a treatment, focusing upon Jean Grey's return and introducing characters like the White Queen. Other than that, the studio had yet to really hire anyone to write or direct X-Men 3 prior to Kinberg, Penn, and Vaughn's involvement.

By meatier, I mean Rogue's arc is developed a bit more. For instance, In the original draft, portions of the script indicate that Rogue attends Brotherhood meetings. Other than that, the script still seems to hold true to what is presented in the final movie. The review doesn't go into too much detail beyond that. It notes, "Rogue is again given one of the roundest and most dynamic roles in the film, and it’s too bad the script can’t find a way to make her more of a centerpiece instead of the occasional side moment... Rogue is given some fleshy material for her character, and Paquin could run with it." If you're interested, you can read the review at AICN.

I read it time ago, well before X3, but didn't remember all.
