Heres another question:

Why is it at the end of the movie, the government accepts Mutants and everyone else accepts them, when they just finished destroying a bridge, killing people and destroying an island?

Yes I know that the X-Men kinda saved the day, but shouldn't what happen show the government how dangerous some mutants can be?

I like the drama of the x-men universe, not the hollywood happy endings.

I watched it again today. The more I think about it, the more stupid it seems. I think it so bad now that it makes Superman Returns look better. I mean all the characters that died, and the ones that didn't were totally mishandled. I liked Ratner from the Rush Hour movies, but I started to have doubts about his ability because of comments he made on the Rush Hour 2 DVD. I think the comment was about a scene that was reworked because it was so deathly boring. I think he said someone on the crew suggested a change. I started thinking, "Has he just been lucky up till now?"

I thought that the "Cure Kid" would have been the perfect boyfriend for Rogue.
Could he have stopped Jean?
I look forward to the reboot. When do the rights revert back to Marvel?

This movie is AWFUL, and anyone who enjoyed it should take a long hard look at themselves in the mirror. All the subtle work Bryan Singer brought to this franchise was bulldozed by Brett Ratner, and of course FOX who created this situation by playing hardball with Singer.

Watching this movie, I often find myself mistaking it for the Hugh Jackman & Halle Berry Show. Their egos permeate the entire thing, creating a horrible imbalance with the rest of the cast. They wanted Cyclops and Professor X out of the way asap so Jackman and Berry could take centre-stage.

Charles and Magneto are just a joke. The Professor becomes manipulative and outspoken when he was portrayed as a father figure in the first two movies. Look how quick he is to dismiss Cyclops succeeding him, because Storm has to grab all the limelight. Sure, Cyclops was devastated by Jean's death but that's no reason to give up on him. Sir Ian McKellen goes from a menacing martyr to a camp panto villain.

This feels more like an X-Men MMORPG with everyone playing their favourite characters blowing **** up than a blockbuster movie.

Lets face it the first 3 X-films were actaully Wolverine movies and now they are making another one. After seeing what these films did to the X-Men I hate Wolverine. I wish that they were making a 4th X-Men movie instead of another Wolverine movie. Just for once I want to see an X-Men, hell show for that matter that Wolverine isn't the freaking star.

Okay then, heres my question:
WHY IS WOLVERINE THE STAR OF THE PIC WHEN ITS CLEARLY NOT ABOUT HIM, ITS ABOUT THE CURE AND THE PHEONIX??? WHY IS IT THAT HE IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN SAVE THE DAY???

Wolverine is who we started the X-Men movies with. We were introduced to the X-Men through him and Rogue, so having him as the lead male was nothing new.

As for the cure, that's pretty much what half the movie was about. Intro to Leech, the convoy breakout, beginning of a bigger Brotherhood, the intro to Angel, the war about it, etc.

With Phoenix, they butchered the storyline from the comics right when Jean demolecularized Scott.(offscreen) So with Scott gone, who was supposed to even try to bring Jean back to her sane self? Prof X? He tried and failed. Who's next in line? Storm? Yea ****in right. Beast? Yea, not seeing it here either. Rogue, Bobby, Peter, Kitty? See where I'm getting at? Wolverine was the only one left to try with Jean. And though at the end, it would have been better for Jean to sacrifice herself ala the comics, she didn't, so who else was gonna stop her?

We all know X-3 sucked, but this thread is about the unanswered questions we have. The question you asked has an answer that all of us know around here.

No, no, NO! Its pretty obvious that time has passed between the second and the third film. They could revamped a lot of the characters. To this day I will not believe that Wolverine was the only one who could of stopped Jean.

1. Why no Kitty and Colossus love?
2. Why no Juggernaut Vs Colossus?

(both problems could have been solved when Kitty was running through walls from Juggy. Peter could have showed up full metal bad ass and saved her, thus igniting a spark between the two)

3. Why is Juggernaut a mutant?
4. Why is The Dark Phoenix a mutant?
5. Why is Juggernaut european (I think he is british, I am not sure). At first it made sense because in the movieverse Proffesor Xavier is british. But then it occured to me that...
6. Juggernaut and Xavier aren't brothers in this movie. How come?
7. WHY KILL CYCLOPS?
8. Why kill Cyclops in a story that is supposed to be based on The Dark Phoenix saga (Ratner lied) and replace him with...Wolverine?
9. Why is Wolverine the team leader? Even though Storm is on the team still. It makes no sense.
10. Why did Rogue get rid of her powers? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of what they were fighting for and pretty much contradict the movie in general.
11. Why did they ruin the "Astonishing X-Men" storyline by taking out the best parts and adding in filler.
12. What was the point of Angel? Really!
13. Where is Nightcrawler??
14. Why...did they kill...cyclops??
