Why American's so fat?

I'm convinced, Spider-Bite is an idiot.

"Fat americans are to blame for famine in Africa"

Someone post the How Utterly ridiculous pic.

We're already being overcharged for our groceries, lol, f**k taxing it.

what we need to do is start taxing the hell out of food, and donate the money to Christian Children's charity fund.

Yeah, lets tax the hell out of food, so that those poor families that are barely able to feed themselves won't be able to afford food and starve.....great idea:whatever:

I mean the country Liberia....I thought I said that? And I'm not calling you naive. I'm saying that it is naive to call America selfish when we give out more charity then any other country in the world.

yes but when compared to the amount of wealth we have we give a lower percentage than many countries.

Not to mention the situation with the middle east. they possess the driving force of our economy. They got the valuable black stuff that runs our economy, but who makes out the best on the deal? We get fat and they starve. It probably looks a little unbalanced in their opinion.

I assumed you had heard of food stamps before. My bad. Food stamps are given out by the government so that poor families can exchange them for food. They are really quite common.

We've slid pretty far down in the world wide opinion poll. Iraq cost us the moral highground. Yes, we are seen as grabby, intolerant warmongers with bad math and geography skills:csad:
Iraq was a problem that was just way over our heads to begin with. People just perceive Americans as proud and anytime people make assumtions about a group of people, let alone a nation...you run into trouble. As a nation...we need to change our image.

Overcharged? That's not exactly correct. Food is very cheap in America. Cheaper than any part of the world actually. Were being undercharged. It's so afffordable that people eat 10 times as much as they need. Were actually feeding ourselves to death, while others starve to death. that's why we are so fat in America. Our pets probably eat better than most people. that's how cheap food is in America.

And where does the money for food stamps come from smart ass?:whatever:

Selfish Americans are to blame for famine in Africa and the middle east.

that's not true. 80 cents of every dollar goes directly to the children. The vast majority of charities only give like 5 cents of every dollar to the children.

but we should start taxing food heavily. It can help with the deficit, and health care costs at the same time. For the poor people that would suffer from the tax, we can always give them food stamps.

It's good way to help redistribute the wealth. People only need so much food, and our animal instincts tell us to eat when you can, and store the access fat. A dangerous instinct when combined with an American all you can eat buffet.

Oh yeah, let's tax food heavily. Good idea. :whatever: That way we can have more of those human skeletons running around as the poor people can't afford the food they need to survive since Uncle Sam decided to get them 'healthier'. As for the food stamps, give it a year, a year, and watch how the number of food stamp users doubles.

So you raise the taxes so more food stamps can be handed out... how does that help other countries.

lol, it was a joke! On that whole $1.00 will feed a starving child in Africa for a week or month or whatever. Hah.

see the post up above where I talked about raising taxes on food, and the source of the money should be pretty obvious.

Wrong answer. Money for food stamps comes from taxes, you charge more taxes, thats less money for food stamps. Simple logic.:whatever:

So? It's privilege based on where you're born. I hate to sound evil, soulless and selfish, but it sucks for those who are born into hell, but that's the life they were given, and there's not alot we can do about it.

well for someone to prosper, someone must suffer, simple.

Millions of Americans suffer from hunger in America. We tax food so the fat people, who can obviously afford food, can't buy as much, and use the taxes we get from that to pay for food stamps, so the starving can afford food. We have to shrink the food gap and balance it out. Not everybody qualifies for food stamps. There are requirements. I highly doubt Bill Gates is going to be getting any food stamps from the government.

I repeat - You live in the desert! Go to where the food is! - Sam Kinison

You are completely bypassing the poor families in America.

And what about those families that don't qualify for food stamps, because not every family does, and the food stamp program is a joke anyway and in a shambles.

What pisses me off about these argument is the logic that only America is to blame for famine in Africa and the Middle East. Really? Whats the rest of the world doing? What is Britain doing? What is Russia, China, India doing? Nothing.

Then, those same people blaming America, criticize America for getting involved in foreign affairs.

I was simply refuting the statement that Americans are overcharged for food. And there is a lot we can do about it. One of these days I will post what I believe to be a good way to create world peace, and end world hunger.

can I get an amen?:cwink: Food banks are easlier to access for most Americans; you don't have to fill out 8 pages of questions just to have them turn you down. I wonder if the gov't notices how many people per year visit food banks.
