I agree but they still have a better chance than Cap.

I don't think it will be just Cap alone, but I think the finishing blow will be dealt by him. It's symbolic

And what weapon would he have that would be capable of dealing the finishing blow? If anyone has to deal it, I personally hope it's Thor, because given his skill set and hammer it would make the most sense IMO.

That would require Mjolnir to be capable of defeating Thanos. If so, why didn't Thor already do it?

The Avengers are going to win in the end, certainly. But its not going to be by force of arms.

Regarding what canon? Easter egg or not, everything presented on screen in the films is "canon" to the MCU's reality. Howard the Duck was an Easter egg... and also canon, since he undeniably exists in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as presented.

Either the glove in Odin's vault is the Infinity Gauntlet or it's a replica. Based on the best evidence, I would posit that the Infinity Gauntlet is indeed in Odin's vault.
