I dunno....Lazenby looks ugly to me. Maybe by Western standards, he is...I dunno. But, he looks like an ugly dude to me.

I don't know about Dalton....some shots, he just looks odd. But, I guess you could say he's got the grizzled badass look going on.

There are pics out there that Craig actually captures the Bond look pretty well. I'll try and find some.

Well, that analogy doesn't really appy here. I'll explain why. You see, when someone calls a naysayer an "idiot", and then complains about the naysayer's intolerance to Craig, it's really hypocrisy, nothing more. The point here is, if you are not tolerant and civil to your fellow man, then don't expect him to be.

Personally, I dont know why people are still bashing Craig. Do they honestly hope to have Craig relenquish his role? I'll say this. Babs and the studio could care less what people like superfan think about Craig's looks and his sickly mancrush on the conventional pretty boy casting. If they cared so much they would have let Craig go and fyi it was Babs who went chasing after Craig for the role. The sh1ttiest tabloids to the most reputable newspapers have hailed CR and Craig as brilliant. Now tel me who and where the hell is cnb.com? who the hell is superfan? The answer, NOBODY.
Profit and a number 1 spot at the BO is guaranteed, the film is open to rave reviews, the majority of sensible fans of 007 either are impressed with what they have seen so far and can see promise and Craig and the studio have done their jobs.

Don't count on it. After the dismal performance of Superman Returns this summer, well, nothing is "guaranteed". SR had good reviews, and most of the critics hailed it as a summer blockbuster, however, it turned out to be a film of Boxoffice mediocrity. Therefore, just because the critics are painting Craig as the next best thing since sliced bread, be a little more careful before jumping the gun. Crtitical acclaim doesn't automatically guarantee "profit" and "number 1 spot at the BO".

I think you've summed it up perfectly. It's all or nothing with Craig. Either people want this completely new sort of Bond or they don't. My guess is most people don't but we'll know in a week or so. It's possible Craig's casting (and Eon's decision to cast him over a more handsome smoother sort of actor) is indicative of the times in which we live.

As for Bond's look - the five Bonds were universally good looking. Classically good looking. Far better looking than the average male model you see in magazines.

Don't look anything like the movie Bond to me! The Bond look is a distinct sort of good looking man, not just a typical male model look, it's different to that. More refined, I guess.

I'm not saying that a more average looking man can't play Bond but Bond has looked a certain way for 20 films so you can't expect every Bond fan to look at Craig and say, "wow, he really looks the part."

Well I think I'm being quite reasonable to be honest. How much did CR cost to make? I'm 100% sure they'll get their money back, easily and yes, I may speak prematurely but thats because I know this will happen, CR will reach the number 1 spot at the BO, it's so obvious. Regardless, critical acclaim imho is far more rewarding that BO returns anyway, look at BB. That film harldy broke any BO records but it was still a damn good movie. Point in case, I could care less if this film didn't even make a penny, as long as it is good that is all that matters.
