Why Does Everyone want a cliffhanger?

I want a cliffhanger. It gives us something to speculate on for the next three years.

I just don't understand...as someone who wants to be an actor (me), I don't see how people can give up roles and deny roles in movies you know that are going to be seen and remembered YEARS from now. What is Dunsts gonna go back and make Lifetime movies again? PFFFFFFFFFfffff...

fact of the matter is. Spider-Man movies aren't going to be around forever, these actors need jobs after it's all over, and in order to ensure that, they have to leave before all of hollywood sees them permanently (typecast) as Spider-Man and Mary Jane.

it's different if you're young because you'll look different say 7 years later, but at Tobey and Kirsten's age, their looks won't be changing drastically for let's say 15 yrs or so.

didn't SM2 end with enough of a cliffhanger? seemed to me that the first one had plenty of finality to it while part 2 showed that everything was going to change for petey and his buddies. part 3 should be the resolve.

A.Not currently. But there is one scene that leaves questions opened about the return of the symbiote.

Q.Is Venom going to be the villain for S-M4,or is S-M3 going to be it for him?
A.End of the line for Brocks version of Venom,but not the symbiote itself.

Take it in whatever way you feel is appropriate.

As Sam Raimi himself said once, the cliffhanger elements of the series are a tribute to the comics. That´s how they work, they always leave something in the air for you to find out reading the next comic book. The movies do the same thing.

I don't understand. Have you seen what is happening to thoughs poor bastards at the X-men 3 boards? it is sad. After SP3 everyones contract is up. The chance of everyone returning to SP4 is slim.

Why would you all want to take that risk? Especially with such a huge story like venom. I would rather them slim it down, & fit it into one movie than risk the chance of it going into another movie with different actors.

thats why i think Venom will be in the last 10 min of SP3 to expand Venoms story and bring in more villains. i think Raimi is trying to set up the series for a Sinister 6 story in the future.
