Yeah, it isn't perfect, but just compare this site to the cesspools that are IMDB, GameFAQs, Yahoo, Youtube, etc. The mods do a good job running this place.

People around here are a mixed bag honestly. Some are mature and some aren't. I been around since 2006-2007 ( I was like 18 when I joined this site) and I seen some ignorant, racist, sexist things posted from people here over the years. One time I got so mad I stoped posting for like a year. But currently these boards are better than they use to be, but still have their moments of immaturity. Example, the Fantatic Four boards.

Well at first I found the Tohokingdom (for Godzilla fans) forum to be pretty damn fun; the people there at first seemed super cool.

After a couple of months of posting, I found out otherwise. I have only been actively posting for a short while here, so maybe it just takes time. I mean, I don't post regularly on the Zelda forums either. But if I had to say so myself, the Godzilla forums are still the worst in my mind

But yes, despite the usual dysfunctions that occur from time to time due to different personalities, this board seems tame and genial compared to the rest of the interwebz.

Oh, no. Those people abhorred any deviation from canon.

I mean, you couldn't suggest anything that was contrary to canon. It was law. It was the One Truth. And if you didn't like any little thing about the One Truth, then you were a heretic, and chastised until you repented. Or got mad and left. Or in some cases, spaz out until you get banned.
