Man, I tried so hard to like FF,FF2 simply because Doom was in it (my favorite Marvel villain) but they just seemed to miss the mark horribly.
Same here.

The looks of the characters (minus Sue and Reed) were spot on. I love the casting for Dr. Doom but the director didn't have what it takes to tap into the essence of the characters. They were watered down.ya know, doom was the only thing that I didn't like in the 1st 1. I'm still kinda surprised marvel let fox make their most popular villain a green goblin knock off? and than when they started to fix him, they made galactus even worse. but I still kinda like those movies. mostly cause of the silver surfer!!!
Let's get back tot talking about Dragonball.
3 more weeks, ive been following this movie since the 1st piece of news i only started watching DBZ August 07, 1 month before the news came about, which may be why im not hating on this as much as others.
Still im a massive fan and i just hope the trailer is good, which knowing Fox movies it probably will be.
People have waited a long time, but it's a shame Fox has ****ed this movie up.
Rearrange these words to make a sentance.
To conclusions seen jumping trailer you`ve before stop even the.
Take your time.
lol.
some people don't need to smell or taste crap in order to know that it's crap. not saying this movie will be crap but it's just an analogy. many people who have been following this production have enough knowledge of how the movie industry works to see that this movie isn't living up to the current standards for most adaptations.
yeah say whatever you want to somehow make yourself sound wise and intelligent in judging a film you have seen only a shred of official info on. the amount of info released by fox is not enough to make a balanced judgement from.
i'm not trying to sound wise or intelligent...i'm just telling it like it is. when you watch someone make a painting you don't have to wait until it's finished to get an idea of how it's going to turn out. when you see someone make a meal you don't have to wait until you taste it to know if it will be good or not. movies are no different. if you know what to look for then you don't have to actually see the movie or even a trailer to predict how it's going to turn out. everyone keeps saying wait for the trailer, but there has been enough info and pictures released for some to know that this film is not a proper adaptation. it's a fast, half-assed job by Fox and co. in order to make a quick buck. if one needs a trailer in order to figure that out then they're simply not paying attention to the production. again...not trying to sound high and mighty, but that's just how it is.
we have a couple of pics and rumors. Thats not like watching someone painting thats like hearing from the sister of the painter`s friend about how the painting is going.
my judgement came from following the production ever since it actually started. Fox sat on the rights for years until Transformers came out and they saw that a kids cartoon could make a $#!+load of money. that's when they started looking at their own properties and saw that they could possibly do the same with Dragonball. so they fast tracked the movie into production thinking they could just drop some money and have a great turn out this summer (2008). then they realized that they were outclassed this year by other movies and decided to push it to a date when they thought nothing big was coming out.Unless you are on the set every morning i can`t fathom how you could possibly have a good enough view of the film to make this judgement.
individually, i can deal with those things but all together they form a bigger problem...which is basically that they didn't have enough time to prepare tackling a movie that's as tricky and hard to make into live action as Dragon Ball is.I`m thinking you just decided you didn`t like the film for some reason, maybe you don`t like goku`s hair or that roshi ain`t bald or that krillin ain`t in it. I don`t know obviously from the small amount of pics we have seen you decided it wasn`t for you.
i don't like using labels...so i'm not going to label anyone as an intelligent or an ignorant. i will, however, say that if you can't see that this movie has been rushed or half-assed that you haven't been paying attention to the production or just don't want to admit it. i'm not saying that it's a bad thing or something to be ashamed of, but again...that's just how it is. despite you not liking people passing off their opinions as fact (i don't either)...Fox fast tracking this movie into production is a fact.Thats fine just don`t try and make out though that the only legitimate opinion of an intelligent is to hate the movie before seeing any trailer. You uses your opinion as if it is fact which if nothing else just annoys the hell out of me.
we have more than just "a couple of pics and rumors"...and i'd say it's more like getting a glimpse of the painting from time to time or getting a whiff of that meal that's being cooked.
