If Steve can understand the difference between Bucky and the Winter Soldier persona, so can the formally-brainwashed ex-assassin Natasha

I think they'd be a great fighting team, if nothing else. But I do hope we see a friendship form between them somewhere down the line. After the Brutasha debacle, I doubt Marvel would be eager to throw her into another romantic relationship so soon, anyway.

I don't think Bucky's going to be in any shape for a relationship soon, at any rate. But it would have been nice to at least hint that he trained Nat, especially since we know WS was passed to the Russians for some time. (Bucky speaks Russian in TWS, while TFA seems to insinuate Hydra started out German.)

I realize I'm going to get flack for this but Im going to say it anyway:

I'm a HUGE Winter Soldier fan, I have all his comic appearances, all his action figures. Even a cosplay of his metal arm....but I dont know why I cant get into Stan as Bucky. I really want to but I'm having a really hard time liking him.....He was kind of blah in The First Avenger. He's an awesome Winter Soldier because they made him a total badass, but the more I see him as Bucky something just doesnt sit right with me. Especially when they do a conflicted Bucky. In Winter Soldier when he recognized Steve I hated his delivery of "I knew that man." And it seems conflicted Bucky is all we're going to get in Civil War

With Bucky I mean does he have his full memories back? Or is his brains still scrambled? Either way Bucky in Winter Soldier he was a total badass but in Civil War just looking at the trailers and overall clips of the movie I am glad that Bucky has a much bigger role this time around

I totally agree with you on The First Avenger...I was like who is this schmuck? Winter Soldier I was like wow....kind of like the whole Hugh Jackman Wolverine thing going on (a guy who is a crazy metro sexual broadway singing dude pulls off this badass character). Most of the CW reviews have spoken highly of Stan in it. I think he is going to do fine. I might even be so bold to say that if anything happens to Stan I will take it badly...like really badly. I would love to see WS be a regular in the franchise. He has a lot to repent for and the conflict between what he has done and what he can do to manage that guilt would be great to see. Quite frankly he kind of deserves a 'happy ending' so to speak.

Bucky has done a lot to a great number of people so he has a lot to redeem himself for but at the same time Bucky was under mind control he was brainwashed because had he been in his right mind he wouldn't have done what he did to a great number of people over the decades as Winter Soldier

He was programmed by SHIELD/HYDRA but he is no longer under their control

If Bucky becomes the new Cap it actually kind of makes sense when you think about it because in a sense Marvel would not only be honoring their source material with the comics but at the same time Bucky by him becoming the new Captain America he actually redeems himself

Evans IS the Captain. Id feel bad for anyone taking his place after he goes...same for RDJ and Iron Man....but you're right, Bucky needs to have some down time, he probably has the worst past out of all the Marvel heroes, except maybe for Banner. I'd love to see him just kick back and let go and have a good time without reliving his past, but his past makes him who he is, so itll never go away lol, but glimpses of him as the Bucky before it all happened would be cool

He probably never will, in the comics Natasha helps him out a lot. but he mostly dedicates his life to making amends for his past.. One story arc even deals with him finding out there are more Hydra sleeper agents out there so he makes it his mission to stop them, which would be a really cool movie IMO
