The Amazing Spider-Man With Great Power, Comes Great Lounging - Part 10

I think Incredible Hulk was good, not INCREDIBLE. I feel like it was the sequel to a film we never got to see (despite being a loose sequel to the 2003 film). I think the 2003 film is underrated, and gets less respect than it deserves. It isn't that bad of a film, Ang Lee just didn't have enough fun with it.

I'm not excited for Captain America: The Winter Soldier or Thor: The Dark World to be honest. Maybe a trailer will change my mind, but overall I'm just not a fan of either character.

I'm actually more excited for Ant-Man, mostly because its directed by Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz), I know practically nothing about him, and I'm really wondering how the hell they are going to pull that off.

I'm a bit disappointed that we're not getting another Hulk movie, since he's my second favorite Avenger (after Iron Man).

Eh, not too excited for Ant-Man. Aside from pym particles and Ultron, he just doesn't seem that important to me in the grand scheme of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Hulk probably won't get his own movie again for sometime, namely because of the success. Unless he was in Avengers, no one gave a crap about him. It's mostly because he doesn't bring in the big bucks like Cap, Thor, and both Iron Man movies did. Which is sad, I love Hulk and would like to see a sequel to Incredible Hulk.

Both Thor and Captain America: TFA where pretty good films, imo, so yah, I could say I'm excited for them, but they're not my most anticipated films, lol.

Iron Man 3, while the first trailer looked amazing, I am holding my excitement back because of how Iron Man 2 turned out.

I'm looking forward to Hank Pym, he's one of my favorites (after Hawkeye and Hulk, my favorite 2) in Earth Mightiest Heroes

The 2003 film failed, and although the 2008 TIH movie was an improvement, it still wasn't a success. I think maybe they are holding back a little bit and don't want him risk making a Hulk solo movie. Imagine if he was in Thor: The Dark World? That would be... awesome.

I think the 2008 Hulk film wasn't a success since the 2003 film was so disappointing and not as many wanted to bother for the second one

Captain America was so corny, and I don't think he is very interesting at all. Thor... meh. Never cared for the character. I liked the scenes with him on earth, since it was a "fish out of water" story, but that's it. I'd live if I never saw it again. In fact, I'd live if they never made another Thor or Cap movie.

Old post but I saw and just had to reply. YEA. I love Raising Hope.

Isn't it great? :D Love that show. Last episode was fantastic.

I also just don't think TIH was very good to begin with.

I really, really want another Hulk film. But if they made another Hulk movie, they'd have to do something totally different with it. I wouldn't mind if they used some of the groundwork from the Indestructible Hulk comic books, actually.

What I loved about the Hulk is how he travels the world, alone, trying to find a cure (what you see in the original television series, and in TIH movie), but now they have to do something new. Something bigger.

I agree.

I think it's time to see The Leader, as well.

I think Marvel pretty much swept him under the rug. And on the day we DO see the Leader, I doubt it'll be Tim Blake Nelson.

That annoys me so much. People complain about unresolved plot points in TASM, but we have a guy transforming into a villain at the end of TIH and never hear or see from him again. Has no impact on ANY of the other MCU movies at all. They better fix that. Probably won't see a resolution for another 5-10 years. -___- At least TASM is getting a sequel less than 2 years later.

Haha, yeah. Also, I wouldn't mind if they dropped Leterrier for the next one. I liked TIH, but the stuff he's done recently hasn't been good. I want someone with a stylish visual style along with the ability to create well-written characters.

I doubt Leterrier would return at this point. We would no doubt get a new director.

So I just rewatched ASM and I noticed that when Peter jumps off the falling structure at Oscorp, he is still holding Connors' serum. Just a little thing I noticed.

HMMM...... curious.

Who are your top choices?

Wow, that's a hard one. Michael Bay is my top choice. :o

Lol... just kidding. But here's a few choices in no particular order:

  1. Joss Whedon (Avengers)
  2. Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean 1-3)
  3. Brad Bird (M:I:4, The Incredibles)
  4. Ridley Scott (Alien, Prometheus, Blade Runner)
  5. Sam Mendes (Skyfall)
  6. Martin Campbell (Casino Royale, GoldenEye... problem is, he also made Green Lantern.)
  7. James Cameron (Avatar, Aliens, Titanic, T2: Judgement Day)

Didn't they address the Leader and Abomination in Fury's Big Week?

I like most of those choices. I haven't seen anything outside of GL and Casino Royale with Martin, though. Cameron wouldn't do it. I think my top choices are:

- J.J. Abrams (well, this definitely wouldn't happen now, obviously)

- Brad Bird

- Neill Blomkamp

- Josh Trank (wouldn't happen either, he's doing Fantastic Four)

And I'll take an "unconventional" choice with Benh Zeitlin, who's helmed Beasts of the Southern Wild. I haven't seen it yet, but it has an interesting visual style and I've heard it's great.

Didn't they address the Leader and Abomination in Fury's Big Week?

Yah, which could play its way into a sequel that the Leader uses the Abomination's help in escaping wherever they're at and S.H.I.E.L.D., the military and Hulk all have to team together in bringing them down.

I said the same thing about Thor when that was coming out. Wasn't extremely excited for it. I'll give Ant-Man a chance.
