I ordered the 12" figure today from Amazon. Heard too many good things.

Nice! Which one did you get? The one with blood drenched shirt?
I am so impressed with this figure. The detail is exceptional.
It's on my shelf and I still can't believe the movie WOLFMAN looks this great.
I can't wait to see it in action.

Is this still comeing out next month or will it get pushed back as it has done in the past?

Great news about the runtime being longer. That 80 minute thing was hanging over this like a dark cloud. I'm excited.

The bloody one, I hope. Just ordered it this afternoon. The only complaint's I heard were a common one for this scale (the balance issues), and that the blood on the shirt is hit and miss with some people. Some people have almost wine stains, some say their blood is spattered.

It's a Rick Baker designed and executed, bipedal retro Werewolf. I just want to see it in motion. But I already see more Oliver Reed than Lon Cheney so far. Not that it's that much of an issue with me.

Yeah, the balance is an issue, but a minor one. The blood on mine is more a blood soak than blood splatter. It looks intense. It definitely doesn't look like wine.

Rick Baker is simply brilliant. You can see the classic Wolfman in this design but he updated it in such a manner that it has its own look-and it is scary as hell.
There's no doubt in my mind that this design was also influenced by the Curse of the Werewolf. (And I have to say I like that) I am a huge fan of that film and when I saw that Benicio Del Toro was cast in this film he immediately reminded me of Oliver Reed. The look of this Wolfman is a nice balance of the two.

When this new Wolfman movie comes to dvd/blu ray, the special features are going to be a real treat. I look forward to seeing Baker's entire process, from design to execution.

From what I've seen from the previews the CGI wolf effects look borrowed from the turd An American Werewolf In Paris from the 90's.

Yeah, the barrelchested, torn shirt look is definetly from Curse of The Werewolf. It's great.

I actually want a feature length making-of documentary, and some other smaller docs.

But in all honesty, we'll probably get a theatrical trailer, 2 or 3 mini docs and MAYBE a commentary. And if it's a 2 disc DVD, the second disc will be the digital copy.

Yeah, we'll get the latter if it's a flop at the box office. But if this movie hits, we'll get the works...making-of docs, gallery, werewolf mythology docs, interviews and hopefully some really cool deleted or extended scenes etc.

I get the feeling there is finally some positive buzz in the air for this movie.
It deserves it, they've clearly been laboring over it for quite a few years now.

Did some fiddling around on photoshop and made a new poster. I'm not photoshop master or anything, but i think it came out pretty cool. Only thing I really don't like is the font for the tagline...the letters should be spread out more, i think. But I didn't have a font that looked good and had a more spread out look. Gotta try fooling around again later. Also, I think the tagline I used should have been a tagline from the start, but that's just me. :o

That is cool and creepy.

Wish that was what the studio produced, instead of Floating Heads.

I have yet to see the original Wolfman. This one looks pretty good though. I'm glad to see it has an R rating.

Well, check out the original, it's an odd product of it's time.

Hey. Nivek, let us know when you get the figure. Curious as to what you'll think of it.

Ahh, classic universal monsters are so great. You american's are lucky because you are exposed to them from early on. I was friking 18 or something, when they were relesead on dvd. You couldn't get them on vhs. No wait, I think the library had Frankenstein or Bride of Frankenstein, but no Wolfman, no Mummy nor Creature from The Black Lagoon. But I read about these movies and saw the pictures and fell in love with them. I was so happy to get them on dvd and with all those insightful extras. Best dvd purchases.

I actually got the Wolfman, Frankenstein & Dracula dvds when Van Helsing came out. In a weird way, I found The Wolfman Meets Frankenstein to be better than the original.

It is a very good sequel. It does have more Wolfman action and of course Wolfman vs. Frankenstein, although the fight is pretty lame and over too soon. The beginning is incredibly suspensful.

Was the 80 minute runtime only a rumor? Because I don't know how they could've gone from 80 minutes to 125+ minutes.

Depends, they might have gone back to an earlier cut that tested better.

There was a late rumor in Dec. that Wolfman was going through another editor. The rumor was false, and some websites revealed that what actually happened was two test screenings were done with an 80 and 125 cut and the latter performed better.
