Figs, surely that's someone just impersonating a Twilight fan.

It has to be. The alternative is just too awful to contemplate. :csad:

I just want to know this, is anyone else extremely been underwhelmed by CG character transformations? I mean, I'm a huge Hulk fan, and I have yet to see a definitive transformation in either of his films (the Talblot-torture transformation in the first film is probably my favorite, but I had issues with some shots) and it's been a long damn time since I seen a Werewolf transformation that's impressed me. I really think they need to have these make-up guys watch over their shoulders, because they are not capturing what someone with a more trained eye can catch and edit. They always look a bit too fluid and cartoony, no real pain, or if anything, body quivering. Like some of the stuff in Wolfman had me thinking "Why would he need to do that to turn into that?".

This is so stupid I almost didn't feel like posting it but someone else must share my pain. This is a fan letter from a pissed off Twitard who thinks Universal ripped off New Moon. This is worse than most of the insane stuff you hear from the obsessed Avatar fans. Link to actual report is at the end. The grammer is atrocious as well, you've been warned.

LOL! El Guapo wrote that, man! He even post's here. Those are parody reviews. Don't take them too seriously, even though he has a couple hidden truths in there.

Had no idea, I don't really go to his sight much.

I've not been too particular about these transformations , you guys must be noticing something i'm not

That has to be fake. Even if someone loves Twilight and hates The Wolf Man (not hard to imagine in the case of teen girls), there is no way they would ***** about silver bullets and brutal transformations. This has to be done for attention.

I'd agree the Hulk transformations were terrible in both films. Especially Lee's Hulk. Mostly due to 5 years of less experience, but the Hulk transformations in that movie were eye sores (as was Bubble Dad). The reboot movie they were better in, but still looked cartoony (as did the Hulk himself). The problem is Universal or Marvel or whoever (I guess ILM) has yet to make a convincing Hulk, when Peter Jackson made a believable CGI King Kong nearly 4 years ago. I don't get it.

As for the Wolf Man. The CG transformations were certainly not as good as they could have been if they had started and ended as prosthetics and used CGI as the bridge. But in all honesety they worked for me far more than the Hulk transformations ever did. Never mind the crap transformations in Van Helsing, LXG, etc. The Wolf Man CGI while not as good as it could have been was satisfying enough to work in the asylum scene (the big one) and probably the best transformation we've seen in decades (though both AWIL and The Howling did it better without CGI nearly 30 years ago). Now the bear on the other hand....not so much.

P.S. The best human to anything or reverse transformation I can think of in recent memory is a pile of sand turning into Sandman in SM3 (the big long scene). That was actually quite impressive.

Although it's been brought to my attention that it's most likely fake, I still believe without a shadow of a doubt that some hardcore twilight fans out there would think like that anyway.

every single aspect of the wolfman tansformation could have been achieved practically and it would have been the better for it. AWIL is still better and it was made decades ago.

so we should all gamble are 20$ away is what you're saying?

...or you can wait and rent it on DVD. If you haven't been compelled to see it at this point, just wait another 6 months for it.

There were only two things that could've been better. The wolfman vs wolfman scene should've been longer and a bit more balanced. I wanted Beno's wolf to kick more butt. And the other thing was the full moon to full moon time passage. It was way too quick and the story needed a bit of a pause. Still I give it a 8.5/10 I loved the fact they left the door open for a sequel.

Full moons in most Werewolf film's is a 3 day cycle, like AWIL. the did the single day deal, but waiting till the Moon already rose for the Transformation. I don't know, continuity wise, this film is stitched together like a Frankenstein Monster. I also didn't understand how it took him a month to get home, isn't England a little bigger than New Jersey?

Maybe he stopped at a few local pubs along the way to have a few drinks and shoot some pool. :hehe:

Who the hell knows, that whole sequence just seemed strange, given how Laurence & Gwen's relationship was abbreviated, but they do this drawn out montage showing Laurence heading back home, Gwen researching, and Aberline scowling (maybe because it took him so damn long to get to Blackmoor).

I read somewhere the DVD will have 17 minutes of additional footage. Maybe they'll take care of a few of those problems with those scenes.

I'm not holding out hope that there is anything really to that 17 minutes that will drastically improve this film.

what I love about warewolf movies is the warewolf only changes when the moon comes from behind a cloud. ha ha that always cracks me up. shouldn't they change regardless once the moon is full? that's like a vampire not bursting into flames when the sun is behind a cloud.
