It would be cause I hate dramas. I see movies to escape reality, not view it. Plus I like to see movies that I actually have heard of to get nominated.

Yeah, entertainment value seems to take the backseat for the nominees.
Most of the films you will see once and never watch again.

Interesting that they got such a mainstream name to host. Usually comedians.

Correction ... Hugh Jackman's gonna host the Oscars mate. Not Wolverine. It's just a character lol ... Hugh is nothing like Logan in real life.

Hugh hosting awards shows = awesome.

He's hosted the Tonys 3 times - and won an Emmy for it. I saw him on Broadway 5 times, he's amazing on stage. The show is going to be so good this year, I don't even care what's nominated.

Whoa! Crocodile Dundee helped host the Oscars in 1986!!!

Looks like the last time there wasnt some sort of comedian hosting was 1976.

This is really unexpected news since the Oscars usually go with comedians as hosts. I think he can pull it off based on what i've seen from his Tony Awards presentation. He's very talented and this is another great chance to show that to the world.
