Worst Attempts at Accents EVER

I didn't like Orlando Bloom's American accent in Elizabethtown.

Tom Cruise's lack of a accent in Valkyrie, hes a german soldier with an american accent

I guess you didn't watch the start of the movie. Where he's speaking German, and gradually it turns into English. As a translation for the viewer.

Also if your going to complain about an accent for Cruise you might as well say the whole cast as not one of them used an accent either.

Jim Caviezel had a very poor arameic accent in The Passion of The Christ.
:cwink::woot:

Christopher Eccleston's attempt at a Scottish accent in G.I. Joe is pretty bad.

Also, Keanu Reeves' "English" accent in Dracula. Laughably bad.

halle berry in x-men 1... dont know what the hell accent that was lol...

And what made it even funnier is that they apparently just went, "Screw the accent, it blows", leaving no explanation for her voice in the rest of the films. :funny:

Angelina Jolie's accent in Alexander was pretty funny. She kind of sounded like The Count in Sesame Street.:woot:

Liam Neeson - Next of Kin - Southern Accent.

Icky

:thing: :doom: :thing:

I'm surprised. A lot of UK and Aussie actors have nailed down Southern accents to a T (like Maggie Smith and Ryan Kwanten), so Neeson's work on Next of Kin was disappointing. I think some actors just aren't cut out to do accents at all, like Tom Cruise and Salma Hayek.

One scene in Die Hard With a Vengeance that I love is when Jeremy Irons poses as an American. His accent for that one scene is so horrible.

But Hans Gruber's American accent kicked ass.

Cruise didn't use an accent in Valkyrie because by this point in his career he knows better than to even try.

Word.

Cruise didn't use an accent in Valkyrie because by this point in his career he knows better than to even try.

To make it clear to everyone mentioning Cruise not using a German accent, it was because Bryan Singer felt the accents would distract the audience from the focus of the film.

That may be true in the case of Valkyrie, but let's be honest, for many years now Cruise has sounded the same in every movie because he's not comfortable anymore attempting to move in another direction

As much as it pains me to say it, because I love her, Natalie Portman's accent in V for Vendetta. But it's ok, she looked fantastic. Even with a shaved head.

Kate Beckinsale's Romanian accent in Van Helsing.

A fan favorite, but Michael Caine's southern in Secondhand Lions. I mean imagine Caine attempting a Southern but instead you close your eyes and you think its Alfred slipping into the film every five seconds. Absolutely brutal. At least it's a lesser known film of his.

Mickey Rooney as an Asian in Breakfast at Tiffany's. Also, probably the most racist performance I've ever seen.

Leslie Mann's Aussie/Jamaican accent in Funny People...

Haha...naw...I loved it!

Lian Neeson in Taken. I guess he was suppose to be American. I wasn't too sure. He sounded mid-Atlantic American/Irish the whole time.
