Oh just shut the hell up. That movie deserves to be bashed for being the biggest piece of heartless, emotionless crap in theaters.

I started this thread, it was a mistake. SR was awesome. Your rude behavior will be reported to the mods as well.

It's hard to say. I can prepare something for you guys, but after spending my days sifting through pages and pages of stats, I have to say that "typical" big-budget movies don't always track alike. Superhero movies, for example, track closest to other superhero movies, while other big-budget fare, like fantasy & action flicks track in different patterns. Gimme a few minutes to whip something up.

so are you saying that you knowingly started a thread in violation of the Rule, that more likely than not would lead to flaming.

and that conversation remained a civil discussion(mostly likely because most of the people on this board share intellectually discourse freely and do not get offended at differing opinions), which you now characterize as "bashing" warranting a closing of the thread?

i'm scratching my head in amazement/bewilderment.

Why don't you go cry about it.

And have you stopped and thought that not everybody agree's with you about Superman Returns. Compared to Superman Returns, I would have much rather seen Smallville the movie. Is either incarnation perfect, no, but I prefer Smallville, and this is the one place that me and others who share my opinion can talk about it and not be flamed, so why don't you just leave well enough alone. Don't turn this into a cry baby board like the SR forum.

That obviously wasn't my intention in starting this thread.

The SR forum is already a cesspool of trolls who are bitter about the movie. My intention was never to create that environment here also.

LOL -- Priceless
You started a thread that once again was ALL about making the zealots feel good about themselves at the expense of SV. You started it in both forums no less. I'm sure your hope was to see SV pounded into the ground, so you could feel better about SR.

The poll was shut down on the SR board, but remained open here. You clearly don't like seeing SV winning like this, so now the poll should be closed.

Absolutely priceless.

Looking at these numbers, and the types of superhero movies in each category, I think Superman Returns will resemble Group 2 in its final earnings. I predict SR's domestic take will rest somewhere between 52-54% of its final total World Wide earnings.

how does the saying go..."even the best of intentions...."
that is the exact purpose the mods created the rule that no SR talk can be had here. Your thread breaks the rule implicitly and explicitly. To state that it wasn't your intention is either a bold faced lie (and i always give people the benefit of the doubt) or and example of extreme naivete.

But to bring it up and then complain about it? the two ends don't add up IMO. My advice, which you can either heed or not (i always cast my lot with reason and right), is to let sleeping dogs lie...because if you start reporting any flaming (which i did a quick review of the entire thread and didnt really see much of)....it all comes from the same source, which frankly, is the origin and point of this thread.

and you know what they say abou tpeople in glass houses....(daggum i used alot of idioms today).
