I'd recommend buying it if you're a large fan of Dodson's artwork, because it's top notch. If you are a fan of The Black Cat. And if you're a fan of darker Spider-Man stories. And if you enjoy continuity because by the end of this story there is some continuity that is picked up from the pages of Daredevil.

Unless the baddie returns in future, that is.

He does return. Check the latest arc of Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

Pretty much agree.

I enjoyed the story. I thought that Kevin Smith took a risky approach near the end but I thought it worked out fine. Like SIAT said..buy it if your a fan of Black Cat or a dark Spider-man story.

Personally, I thought the story was great.

I recommend it, too. When Smith wrote it some years ago, the ETMD was the only decent Spider-Man comics on the market. It was fresh, good and funny- as now the Human Torch/Spider-Man by Dan Slott.
The second parts (#4-6) not so good, though. But it a decent story anyway. The art is fabulous so yes, I recommend it.

Dear Kevin Smith,
Thanks for taking all the fun out of this comic book with your heavy, disgusting story.
