No disrespect to Flair, but Bobby Heenan was the star of that PPV. His commentary during the RR match was some of the finest character work in wrestling history.

Without a doubt, Heenan's iron man commentary on that match is the greatest piece of wrestling broadcasting ever IMO.

I was watching video on the Dungeon of Doom and their purpose of destroying Hulkamania.

I then read that they lasted all the way to 1997. So what was the purpose of the faction after Bash at the Beach 1996? Because they got their wish at that PPV when Hulkamania was destroyed when Hogan joined the New World Order.

They feuded with the Four Horsemen for pretty much the rest of their run. The DOD mostly became a backdrop for the Kevin Sullivan/Chris Benoit feud with the rest of DOD being Sullivan's enforcers.

Ah yes, Kevin Sullivan......I last saw him in ROH.

Kevin Sullivan is still out there as the most evil SOB in wrestling.

Hopefully Kevin Sullivan never goes into the WWE Hall of Fame, as the WWE has done with guys who have never stepped foot in a WWE ring.....like Abdullah the Butcher, which made no sense.

I have many memories of Bobby since I grew up in the 80s with him managing so many Hogan opponents, but that might be my favorite night of his career. He was just superb that night.

Well, when you're the last man standing so to speak, it's a nice gesture when they recognize legendary performers who don't have an AWA/WCW/WCCW/UWF/ECW to which they could be inducted.

Speaking of WWE Hall of Fame, if Mickie James has a few more matches left in her, then I know of two women who should go in, with one of them for this year: Molly Holly and Ivory.

What about Chyna?

Matt Hardy defeated Ryback to retain the Wrestlecade Championship last night.

No, Miss Elizabeth and Sable.

I could see both Goldberg and Mickie going in this year actually (to capitalize on their high-profile returns).

Also WWE has made it clear by this point that they consider the HOF to be more about the history of the business as a whole, as opposed to just WWE. And you could maybe argue that since they technically own WCW/ECW/AWA/WCCW/Etc now, that any talent who was big in those promotions, counts.
