I was wondering about nametags, too. I think I'll wear one and we can try to gather all the SHH-ers in one spot. I'll be there a few hours early, probably, so I can work on organizing our ground crew.

It would be best if all SHH! Goons worked together, while all SHH! Oracles were working together. SHH! Teamwork FTW! That way if anybody gets disconnected, there are still several links between you guys and the boards.

Sounds good. We know that there won't be 300 SHHers there, so we don't have anything to worry about if we work together. SHH seems to get puzzles done the fastest, so I'm speculating we'll do pretty well. We'll probably be more organized than some of the others as well.

My buddy and his GF will be oracles for me but they don't go on SSH, is there a place where they can meet all the other oracles?

Alright, here are a few things we still need to get down by tomorrow morning, preferably tonight:

- Where are our Oracles going to convene? They should all have this thread, plus the Universal Oracle thread open... however, I have a feeling that the boards are going to crash, so we should use a chat format. Is the speakeasy okay with everyone? Our head Oracle (DanTheDevil, I'm assuming) could make the SF room and leave the password on this thread so everyone can get in.

- Where does everyone think we're going? I've been scrutinizing the google map and noticing that our 5:30 location sets us at very close walking distance to a baseball diamond, which corresponds with all of the hints at baseball. However, we should also check out cinemas and large centers that would be fit for 300 people to view a trailer.

And finally, some stuff for everyone (Goons and Oracles) to brush up on before tomorrow's game:

- Ulysses S Grant / his currency
- City of SF history, landmarks, etc, particularly in the Daly City area
- Transportation around the Hillside Park area
- The Wayne bonds that folks received earlier this week (there is a handy list on the wiki, I believe)


...Alright, other than that, I'll be the small blonde girl wearing a Harley Quinn shirt, and I will probably have some sort of nametag on. I'm going to get there a few hours ahead of time (nothing to do tomorrow, heh) so come find me when you're there and all of us Hypers can stick together. Sound good?

Looking through the wiki for Ulysees S. Grant (our portrait) I noticed this:

"Dupont Street, the main thoroughfare in San Francisco's Chinatown, was renamed Grant Avenue in his honor. The famous dragon gate at the entrance to the district is at the corner of Grant and Bush Street."

Only problem is, Grant Ave is about 10 miles from the starting point. It may come in handy for the puzzles though, so I'll remember it. This also caught my eye, although probably less relevent:

"Once Grant saw his friend, Fred Dent, later becoming his brother-in-law, lying in the middle of the battlefield; he had been shot in the leg. Grant ran furiously into the open to rescue Dent; as they were making their way to safety, a Mexican was sneaking up behind Grant, but the Mexican was shot by a fellow U.S soldier."

They're probably both irrelevant, but I'm researching San Fran and Grant to be prepared.

You'll need to be in contact with a partner-in-crime who has online access to relay your instructions once you're there. These instructions will give you the TRAIL to follow, but be sure to look both ways when crossing the street; we wouldn't want you to make an unscheduled visit to the ER now, would we?

I don't believe a password is needed if you use the web-based IRC chat. I checked it out this morning and didn't need one.

indeed here and the universal thread, ALSO, MSN is quite handy as well as AIM, but if you want to do that SPEAKEASY that works cool as well.

JUST GET IN CONTACT on the first page is the list of oracles, and if you ARE a oracle and ur names not there let me know!

Hey folks-- cinematheque got in touch with me about using the chat for the oracles, and I ended up setting up an IRC room which I think will be much faster (given we might get bogged down, and SHH will probably go down at some point) and a good hub specifically for the Oracles to cross-communicate. It seems important that the Oracles aren't completely segregating themselves via city because there could be similar logostics game-wide that will be useful in each city and for every oracle.

So if you're up for passing this along to your city specific groups and want to modify the regional Oracle threads to reflect...
