It'll probably be a McAvoy voiceover, a brief shot of Phoenix gesturing/blasting, and hopefully not a hint of funny purple lighting in sight...

I wish that would sound exciting, but sadly all i picture is this:

Xavier: Mutants, like space people from across the galaxies, they evolve and then die, and then they return...to be free, like a PHOENIX!

McAvoy's lines for the monologue was really cheesy for Apocalypse. Dialogue is one of the thing that needs to be rectified and James shouldn't be afraid to toss it if it's bad. Stewart's lines on the other hand were great, even in X3.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Dave Filoni was giving him quite a bit of credit for Rebels at Celebration. And probably has some in with Kennedy. Yes, he is currently tied to the X movies, but that doesn't mean Fox is his lone source of influence.

In terms of producer, yes. But while producer is a great, pivotal, and lucrative career, he clearly wants to be a creative. He wants to direct, he wants to write. He has a lot riding on this. But yes, he is not going to become a pariah if this underperforms or ends up being a mess. But I will put it this way, does anyone seem in a hurry to sign Kurtzman up for the next big thing now that The Mummy flopped? He'll be back writing and producing soon. The next time he directs will be a long, long, long time.

McAvoy has been vocal about Kinberg's dodgy dialogue.

Good. He should be. I rewatched Apocalypse the other night, and the dialogue is just so damn bad in some scenes.

Yea there's an interview of the main actors somewhere and McAvoy makes fun of the dialogue this time. Hopefully Kinberg got the hint.

They all pretty much found the line "I've never felt power like this before" hilarious.

Age of X?
His Apocalypse outfit already looked very cult-like.
Ohk that would be cool. I agree about the Apocalypse costume which was why I didnt understand what that meant. Where is that inside person from last year that gave us the scoop on the costumes lol.
I think a full reveal of the new costumes like plastered on a comic book type poster showing them in action would be great for SDCC. Either or if they show a teaser or just some pics Id be happy, but im feeling because of the backlash Apocaypse got they may be hesitant to show a teaser but who knows.

Hahahaha. Knowing Kinberg's writing skills, this is not that far off lol. The opening monologue for Apocalypse was so cringe-inducing. Even the early draft of DOFP which circulated around had bad cheesy dialogue. I'd say the movie turned out good despite being written by Kinberg.

so did half of the returning cast.........

Probably didn't want to pay for the prime days.

Hopefully we see the cast of all 3 films assembled on the same stage (and a photoshoot with the Legion/Gifted crew)

(and we get to see like, Shane Black's Predator too)

Would be a huge opportunity since, hey, there's a LOT of characters in X-Men lore alone compared to a lot of Marvel heroes. May as well get a group shot while there's a chance and having Legion and Gifted there as well would be a real treat. Were it to happen, anyway.

Black Panther x Thor x Infinity War + Suprises

Justice League + Surprises

FOX is extremely smart not to even try and be around that.

This is a two horse race in comic book movie land

I don't know about that, Deadpool outgrossed BvS and a majority of MCU/DC flicks. Plus his SDCC panel stole the show that year.

With Deadpool 2, New mutants, X-Force and X-Men they could hold their own fairly easily at SDCC.

They seemed to have broken up the panels in general so they're not all on the same day. If they bring out the casts (and show off a few ready things like Cable/Dom pics) it'll be plenty to appease the Hall fans who waited all day.

Well, Legion and Gifted are Marvel Entertainment/Fox Broadcasting Company. Not 20th Century Fox film division...
