So now that this movie is happening, I kind of lost the drive I had to continue what was going to be my series of First Class sequel characters, but thought I'd share what I had worked on.


Angel

Synch, Cyclops, Cecilia Reyes, Karma, & Dazzler

Havok & Polaris

Jean Grey and Polaris

I wish I could create the fire surrounding Jean but I don't know how to make it realistic.

For fire effects (like the Human Torch's trail or example) I use stock photo's of real fire and use the 'free transform' tool (for shaping it) and a number of layers in Photoshop to create the effect, then some wacom painting over it to clean it all up. Time consuming but worth it.
Here's one I did of Phoenix in her comic costume a good while back:

Not done a lot comic related art for ages until recently (bill paying has taken up more of my time I'm afraid) so I've not had anything much to update it, but I'll put the new stuff there in soon (atm, working on a very specific panel/scene from the DOFP comic that's gonna be as tricky to pull off as it will be gruesome).

Those are all really cool, and I'm really loving all the wobbly posters, I just know that they're gonna be cooler than the official posters.

But I just think is long overdue, someone should photoshop the casting wall tweet and include James Marsden and Famke Janssen, it would really make my day, I'd do it myself if my photoshopping abilities weren't non-existant.

I tried to follow a tutorial but I wasn't having any luck so I pretty did my own to figure out how to do it myself. All I did was shape the fire around Famke/Jean then made multiple layers of fire and warping them to make the phoenix shape around her.

Here's that peice I had been working on from months ago. I actually completed it, and added more character like Rogue, but then my laptop died. This was the last saved version on my hard drive:

Posting it because I'm going to make some adjustments now that we know how certain characters look.

Those are interesting but the pic of Polaris in the First Class uniform just makes me feel even more that identical uniforms are not the answer - at least not for all the characters. Polaris needs some green going on in her clothing too or even the later, purple Claremont-era costume she was given by Erik the Red.

I...tried to make it blonde. lol. I'll take another stab at it but its only gonna turn white cause his original hair is dark brown.
