Sequels X-Men - First Class Villain suggestions

The Sentinels. If they are handled the way they were going to be handled in X2 I think they could work. Obviously we'd need another villain, someone who has control of them. But don't make them involved with the government and actually running the streets (because that wouldn't make sense in continuity with the other films).

I think a Magneto-less brotherhood could work. Run by Mystique with Magneto obviously pulling the strings off screen.

I agree...since Henry Gyrich was killed off before we got to see his story explored...I think he should be the villain/creator of the Sentinels and maybe throw in Trask and Senator Kelly who also help fund the Sentinel project w/o the gov. knowing and to flesh out their characters somemore

Sentinels would be cool. It would explain how the Danger Room in X3 already knew what they look like.

Are people only pushing for Sentinels b/c of the Danger Room in X-3? I don't see how the mutant threat would have escalated to that high a point before X-1 where Sentinels would be required... Sinister or Hellfire club make a heck of a lot more sense... no Apocalypse setups though because we need the best stories for the sequels when it's out of the hands of Fox. Long ways before that is happening... but again... I really don't see this becoming a trilogy... stick with one grounded villain not named Magneto.

He'd be like 9-10. I mean, he was a teen in X1, and you'd have to assume the prequel would be set at least a few years before that...

I'd have to think they'd dig up 1-2 new characters to form the movie-verse version of the O5, or O6 if they want.

And Forge would be awful.

I`d say stick with just the four x-men we know for the first flick. Maybe the smallest of cameos perhaps but this really should be a strong character driven movie with good action scenes. It should be how the core group of Xavier, Cyclops, Storm, Beast and Jean became so close.

Also, who should be the villain who cripples xavier?
Magneto could make sense but seriously xavier seems way to calm and friendly in X1-X3 if the backplot is that magneto broke his legs. There is just no rage there on xavier`s part towards magneto.

I`d go with a final(after however many movies they can get out of this franchise) first class movie featuring shadow king as the big bad. Shadow King could do the crippling and then xavier could say the whole "If we`re going to reach our dream. I`m afraid You`ll have to carry me there." Bit. I think it works nicely like that.
