Sequels X-Men: First Class

Call me crazy but I'd rather Fox stick with the characters they have established already rather than have them mess up the origins of new characters. Let Stryker and Magneto be the villains again as long as the film is half decent. It saves material for future reboots or spinoffs anyhow.

There would be no point in having Stryker... Yes Magneto needs to be a presence but you have to ask why the two ended up going there seperate ways and for this you need a new villian, either Sinister of High Evolutionary would be interesting also Proteus

Maybe they could just have a cameo with Stryker's kid. Jason did spend some time at the school, or so they implied..

I've been thinking on that, I dont think Jason Stryker ever attented Xaviers school. I just think that Jason caused his mother to go insain so she killed herself, then stryker put him on ice. Then found Xavier who was at the heart of mutant research at the time and asked for a cure which Xavier did not have.

I don't remember, exactly what they said, but, I do remember there being some line about, Xavier meeting with Jason....

IDK, if it was as a student, or even if the school was started, yet,
it was probably private sessions

I like to think that this was one of his first experiences as a teacher, that inspired him to start the school

Jason was a student of Xavier's and attended the School. In X2, when talking to Xavier and referring to Jason, Stryker says, "...just one year after he returned from your school..." (or something along those lines).

magneto i believe also says something like "a student of your's jason" while in the prison with xavier i believe

I knew it was something along those lines...
forgot the line about the school, though

Magneto talking in his plastic prison, confesses to Xavier that he's had "frequent visits from William Stryker. Jason was once a student of yours wasn't he?"

Because we all know material can only be used once.

We're not going to see a reboot for ages. We have to wait for the current movies to stop being profitable, Fox to then lose the rights, and then finally for Marvel to start work on a reboot. I don't want to get only Stryker and Magneto for the next 5-10 years.

Stryker was really just an analogy for 'the man', or the government, which is really what the Sentinels are. I thought he made a very effective villain in his first guise. I thought however he was kind of silly in The Wolverine movie.

Rather than Stryker showing up at Xavier's school (which have would have much better served in Wolverine imo) i'd prefer a return of Liev Schreiber if they show the early formation of the Brotherhood.

I bet the villain will be a new movie character, the brotherhood will be the "easter egg scene" at the end of the film. U know how FOX wants to link all the X films together...

If they plan on doing the Emma/Scott/Jean love triangle then it would be interesting for Emma to develop her telepathy over the course of the movie.

They could have Emma and Jean having mini telepathic arguments which Scott would know nothing about, and whereas Jean wants to develop her powers so she can control them, Emma wants to use them for personal gain. We could see her *****y side shine through due to the emergence of her telepathy.

THIS WOULD BE BRILLIANT!!!!! :awesome::awesome::awesome:

make it happen Fox

If Sinister was one of the Villains in X:FC, do you think he could be one of the reasons why Xavier and Him went different ways?

I'd love to see more of Liev as Sabertooth.

I also think they should have Liev back as Sabretooth. He did a good job in Wolverine and this way they could finally explain why he looks and acts so different in X1.

I still think the best explanation for that is experimentation by Mr. Sinister while Sabretooth is part of the Marauders.

i was thinking it wouldn't be such a bad idea to have a total reboot of the series with this film

as much as i loved X1 and X2, X3 and Wolverine: Origins really killed the series for me

this would be an opportune moment to recapture the greatness of the first two X-Men films, with something more in touch with the source material

i would love it for this film to have the 5 original X-Men (Cyclops, Beast, Jean, Angel and Iceman) and have them all played by unkowns or up and comers

and have some cameos by other X characters

introduce Magneto, but have him not be the main villain

Sinister would be perfect as the main villain

then again, this is Fox and they will find a way to scew things up :cmad::csad:

They always do. But with Singer we may get lucky, since he made the first 2 X movies so great.

If you do a reboot you don't hire the director who started the series back.

One of my biggest critism of the so called James Bond reboot Is If they want to reboot then noone Involved with the films for the most part should be
Involved. This Is how Star Trek And batman Begins proceed.

And those hoping for a perfect repsentive of the X-Men lineup as it occured In comcis are going to disappoint.Even with a reboot I can guantire you would
have Wolverine In there. This way people can have a X-Men film without him.

People should also remember the X-Men didn't become the huge success In
Comics till the revamped line up In 1975 of Cyclops,Storm,Wolverine,Colossus,Nightcrawler, and Banshee.

Look I know i dont post as often as I would like but the fact that 20th Century Fox has signed Bryan Singer to direct this movie is an utter tragedy and blasphemous to the franchise its self. By hiring Singer to direct they have DOOMED X-Men fans to the same state that Batman fans were at when Joel Shcumacher took over the franchise in 1998 to 2000 and that is a non true to comics based movie that makes no sense what so ever and makes you scratch your head going WTF!!!!! I mean come on does anyone remember Superman Returns, Singer screwed up that franchise like he did X-Men and yet Fox has hired him back. So all I have to say is if Singer screws this new X-Men movie up I am done with the X-Men forever. At least in movie form.:ikyn

First Class takes place in the same continuity as the other X-films, so, it makes sense that Singer's back in the director's chair. It's not like this will be a fresh start to the franchise.

I understand that but it is your opinion I personally think it is time to reboot the franchise and hiring the same director to do the same franchise that he help destroy is so stupid. Fox just didn't know who to hire so they went to their golden boy singer who can't do any wrong in their eyes. :ikyn
