X-Men Origins: Wolverine Official Thread

Damn, um, this will sound stupid, but is Wolverine really that violent? Iv never really read any of his solo stuff.

But holy hell those cinematics are INSANE!!!!!

Yea, he's a guy who has blades come out of his fists, it's gotta be violent!

He's got razor sharp, indestructible adamantium claws. He cuts through steel like a hot knife through butter. He goes nuts, it's gonna get bloody.

He's toned down a lot of the time, but there are some points in his comics where he gets pretty violent. Granted, it used to be a big deal that would make him question his humanity before, but for the past few years it's become more and more the norm for him, culminating in X-Force, which is ultraviolence incarnate. That's one of the many reasons my enjoyment of Wolverine has dwindled over the years.

His solo archs get bloody as hell at times. He gets riddled with bullets and tears guys up. So yeah, Wolverine is a vicious killing machine and this game looks like it's right on with the gore.

Totally...that video I posted above is frick'n awesome (asides from the narrator and the ******ed hip-hop theme he has going). The footage is beautiful and I'm looking forward to tearing guys apart. That drill claw move in there is straight out of Marvel Vs. Capcom...so damn cool!

Yeah, looks quite good in that review. Definitely giving this a solid rental

Missed that post with the video review. Just watched it and that's what I would have wanted to see in the Wolverine Movie. Instead we got Wolverine Super Light. Those cinematics are amazing. I might just end up cutting all cinematics together and watch that.

Damn, I can't wait until next week. I get this game (& COD:WAW) & I get my Xbox back.

I would get it this week, but there'd be no point because I can't play it.

Haha i know, i know. I mean iv always known he was a brutal dude, but seeing those cinematics just made me wonder a bit. I mean thats some BRUTAL stuff. Its awesome!

I just watched all of the review. I'm not really digging all the blood and gore. It feels out of place if you're using one of Wolverine's classic or brown/tan (ie the best) costumes.

I think I'll still get it just because I doubt you'll be able to put a guy's head into a helicopter in the tamed version. I'd like to at least have that option.

From what i understand, Wolverine is a pretty brutal guy tho, regardless of what hes wearing.

This game looks amazing, but I couldn't help but notice that Logan is wearing a tattered piece of his X-uniform in the beginning cinematic.
