Yep, thats what Selene used to resurrect them. Cypher got healed of his. Im hoping some others get healed of theres.

Speaking of which, not canon as it didnt appear in the books, but Yost revealed in an interview that Elixir left to go back to Necrosha to heal those that werent consumed by Selene. I hope this is revisiting that

Who's the chick with the card, and why does she seem to feel that card is so important?

Tarot. Her mutant ability is to make the creatures in her card come to life

I want to see a proper reunion between Emma and the Hellions. It would be intersting to see them confront and blame her for getting them killed

Hellions has some of the most imaginative powers

If I were Emma, I'd be like, "Whatever, b****es, obviously death didn't take. Get over it."

He appears to have a pretty humanish nose again, though. He also had his humanish face in Secret Avengers last month.

Conclusion: Artists no longer give a f*** about cat-Beast.

Opinion: It's about damn time.

Completely agree.

It'd be the only time saying "Whatever, b****" would be out of character for her. The deaths of her students is the one thing Emma genuinely feels remorse for.

Looks like I will be skipping First X-men. Them forcing more Wolverine down our throats, ill pass on. Esp when it involves them trying to shoe-horn him into xmen history before he joined.

Scott became a dick as soon as they moved out to San Fran. Up until that, he was a great character. Except for the era around X-Men vol 2 #14-24, with X-Cutioners Song, getting hit on by Psylocke, running off to Alaska like a baby, woe-is-me crapola. He didn't redeem himself in my eyes until that 2nd Astonishing X-Men mini that came before The Twelve.

And as far as I'm concerned 90% of the Morrison New X-Men hate on this board is like that because it's the "kewl" thing to do. :o

I still like Cyclops.

Glad to see the Hellions back although they were never really evil.

Yep its part of the reason Emma switched from being a villain to a hero.

Yes, Cyclops was never a total bastard before Morrison wrote him.

Hey, remember that time he told his wife and son he was going to the store for a quart of milk and didn't come back because he was trying to bang his ex-girlfriend on the other side of the country?

Not even Whedon's Cyclops?

That came straight off of Morrison. More of a continuation of his run in many ways

I didn't hate New Xmen. In fact I credit Moreison for saving the Xmen after it went downwards inthe late 90s. I do however hate what he did with Scott, turning him into a *****e which lasted yeats after he left. My thoughts on Scott from that era isn't bc it's the "kewl" thing

Except he told them where he was going and didn't pursue a romantic or sexual relationship with his resurrected late-fiancee until after he was lead to believe his current wife was dead. I mean, there's no argument that Cyclops' behavior was despicable. But the way a lot of people simplify the story is almost embarrassing to read.

But yes, Morrison's Cyclops was build on pre-existing character flaws. Cyclops was never really the wholesome boy-scout some readers saw him as. He only got that reputation once people started comparing him to the much more obvious anti-hero Wolverine.

I know I simplified things there, but it was still pretty damn sketchy. Maddy was under the impression Scott was leaving her and baby Christopher Nathan Christopher to go off adventuring with the X-Men again (which she was already against), not to see his ex. And although Scott didn't immediately try to get in Jean's... erm, jeans, he still neglected to tell her he'd gotten married while she was gone, and he'd convinced Hank, Bobby, and Warren not to mention it either.

That whole story line was dumb, plain and simple.

Blame that on editorial that wanted to get the original x-men together...where as Claremont wanted him to retire from hero-ing and settle down

that would have never lated anyway. What super hero actually retires and has that stick?

kind of the reason why Claremont did it...because no one did it before

One of the many, many Starmen at DC.

Whether the retirement would've lasted or not is irrelevant. The least they could've done is coordinate his return to superheroics better so that he doesn't look like a cheating deadbeat dad. Maybe have him be committed to Maddie and force him to fight his feelings for Jean, like any halfway decent man with a wife and child who's forced to be around an ex a lot would.
